Title: Re: REACH Post by mpescatori on 09/16/10 at 00:56:36 Thanks, but I already wear a uniform for a job. I don't do "shoot'em up" games. I only like driving games - except for the "Grand Theft Auto" Series, which I believe should have been banned frmo the start. Call me old fashioned, but a video game that teaches you to becmoe a successful hoodlum is not what I would stuff in my son's XMas stocking. On the other hand, I wish there were driving / sailing navigational games, where you have to set a route, navigate by compass, and reach your destination. There is an old game for the Playstation2 called "Paris-Dakar2" with a few of those typical loop races, but it also has two "navigational" scenarios, where you are at one end of a huge sandbox and have to navigate with GPS to your destination; how you negotiate crevasses, sand traps, pits and camelthorn bushes is up to you. 8-) Now that's a nice scenario ! |
Title: Re: REACH Post by justin_o_guy2 on 09/16/10 at 02:39:14 I dig driving games. Used to drop quarters in POle POsiition. Put my initials up pretty regular. I want to goto the mall & try the flight simu;lator. |
Title: Re: REACH Post by John_D FSO on 09/16/10 at 03:23:41 I don't play video games very often, but I like the driving ones too. I picked up Grand Turismo 3 a while back used for about $15 or so for the PS2. Pretty neat because you can really customize the cars a lot, down to gear ratios in the transmission! One of my favorite games was for the original PS, Destruction Derby Raw. Mostly road courses, but you get extra points for creatively damaging other cars, while trying to keep yours in good enough shape to finish the race. Fairly realistic handling for that old of a game. Pretty much the only shooting game I have that I like is Star Wars Battlefront. C'mon, doesn't everyone secretly want to shoot at stormtroopers? :-? |
Title: Re: REACH Post by justin_o_guy2 on 09/16/10 at 03:53:00 C'mon, doesn't everyone secretly want to shoot at stormtroopers? & wouldnt an admission kinda mess up that whole "secretly" part? Hmm?Now wudnitt? |
Title: Re: REACH Post by Wolfman on 09/16/10 at 13:47:47 Now guys, Halo dosent teach you to become a hoodlum. Your trying to save the human race from the bad aliens wanting to wipe out life in the universe. It aint nothing like grand theft auto. Meps, you get to drive all kinds of neat vehicles. Warthogs, scorpion tanks, wraith tanks, ghosts, banashees ect. Dan, you playing on an xbox 360 or the new xbox kinetic? What did you think of Halo 3 and ODST's? My youngest is driveing me nuts wanting them. We've about wore out Halo 1 $ 2 as well as the xbox. Got to start looking for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 as well for her. Still hopeing they come out with a Mech Assault 3 as well. ;D I dont beleive shooting games causes agression in kids, it gives em an outlet for what they already have. Sure is fun to be able to play GRAW or Halo at the end of a bad day and work off some steam. |
