I pray they hit MTV. Mopeds will become the coolest thing since sliced bread, then maybe the US market will take a second look at "small" motorcycles and we can get some of the sweet offerings only available overseas.

Also...i doubt any of them listen to the Misfits or Iron Maiden.

I have deleted what I can. I had no idea Savage riders were so bad ass rural. I'm new to this level of righteousness. If I could just be like ya'll.
The really funny part is that the video is suppose to be parody but when picked apart and analyzed as urban culture it becomes something I don't want to be part of.

Lupo,

They jest don't understand "the new urban reality" of not having any money and not having drivers licenses yet.

The boys found a way to enjoy mobility within the restrictions they have been handed.

Looks like they mod for performance too (mopeds running 50-60 mph ain't stock by a long shot).

I wish we could "jest throw a kit on the biatch" and get the same percent speed increase as they do (200+%).

And ---- there is no functional difference between those young kids and what they were doing from what WE do when we get off up into the mountains.   None.

We just don't bop to the rock quite as much.

*Chorus*
Million Dollar gettin' that
got it from Curt (Curt Cameruci) or Pat (Patrick Turner)
Gimme that step through, yeah cause I need that
Throw a KIT on that *****, just bought a moped
Throw a KIT on that *****, just bought a moped

Hollywood gettin' that
got it from Curt or Pat.
Gimme that top tank and yo I need that
Throw a KIT on that *****, just bought a moped
Throw a KIT on that *****, just bought a moped

Million Dollar gettin' that
got it from Curt or Pat
Murder Club on the hoodie
Murder Club fresh Tatt
If I got a fine *****, I'mma throw her on the back
Brake release feed on the peds, pull the throttle back
 ****** in the parking lot
Man, **** the scene **
Fiona Apple lookin' ******, man I'm straight yo.
Can't ride too long, I smell like a lawn mower
But I'd rather ride my ped, than get inside a car door.
"Is that a scooter?" No.
"Can I buy it from you?" No.
I don't care about you tho, you can't buy it from me yo.
Police try to take me though, when I'm riding in the door
My **** was going slow, so I had to go Pirelli Pro.

*Chorus*

I never fall, I never slip.
Cause I just got on ebay and I got some racing slicks.
And plus I just broke in my brand new Tomos Proma kit.
With a biturbo, when it's jetted up it's fast as ****.
Yeah man I'm killin it.
Yeah, that's right I said I got a bigger jet.
Ridin' clean on my top tank Targa LX.
I only ride Tomos, but I got a few Garellis,
plus a couple Puchs and some bikes that rhyme with Minarellis

*Chorus*

Murder club is the gang and we're rollin' mad deep.
Ridin' out with Peddy Cash and we killin' these streets.
Any other gangs try to step we don't meet defeat,
like this gang called Bloody Spokes, but them ****** mad weak.
We don't pay them no mind, 30 ****** wanna ride
meet up at Curt's house and we hit the south side.
Watch out for the police, all through the Chi.
If they see you ridin' peds, they gonna pull you to the side.
So we always ride in packs, stay together fo' sure.
If your headlights going out, just jiggle the cord.
Mopeds are always broke, but they easy to fix.
But we stay ridin' clean, steady rollin' all you tricks.

*Chorus*

I love it.  It reminds me a lot of The Beach Boys' "I Get Around" and "Little Deuce Coupe" where they're singing about the mods they've made to their rides and just hanging out.  Yeah, it's not my kind of music but I can stretch myself enough to appreciate it.  One more thing, as a musician I've gotta say the rhythm in the chorus seems pretty complex to me. The accents are unusual enough to keep my interest.

Check the cult following here   http://www.mopedarmy.com/photos/view/
Some nice scoots from mild to wild and from all over the country. I think it's good if a kid can learn to handle a wrench better then a gun. Or blow his money on bike parts rather then "blow".

OldFeller, thanks for keeping it alive and jef, I've got to admit..I like the tune and I'm a hard core Zappa freak. Yea, I don't understand it either :)

...but I did cry  ;D

Actually Mick I am a halfbreed of Portuguese and Irish however if I was of any other race I'd feel no different then I do. I am proud of being the man I am. You too should be proud, even if you are just a busboy. Ignorant people sometimes feel proud of however they were born but the reality is an egg and sperm made them what they are. Proud? Not really an accomplishment is it? And last, Lupo is Italian for wolf.  Go to sleep my little sheep. ;D

I can confirm LUPO is Italian for WOLF.
LOBO is Spanish for WOLF.

Lobo seems to be young, and probably doesn't nkow much about Nick.

I understand there's no accounting for taste and each of us certainly has the right to choose what we listen to.  What I don't understand is Mick pleading for someone to delete the video.  Like it or not we've got to share the world, and the forum, with people of all ages (it's interesting how the LS650 seems to attract young and old alike) and ethnicities.  If you let it make you miserable you'll be miserable.  So I just want to point out that if you don't click on it, it can't hurt your ears.

TRumpets sounding

Dunt Duuuhhduuhhduuuuuh!

It has been a long battle to get people to knock off with the whining about posts from others. You dont like it? Walk PAST it, start a thread YOU like, but dont go whining about what someone else is posting, unless there is no warning & its just offensive, as in, not work safe, offensive. Not family stuff,, then, a warning in the title is good.

Hey, every time Mick gets himself all wound up over religion or politics I'm gonna truck out one of the MANY MANY MANY totally obnoxious rap videos for him to consider.

Use garlic for vampires ....

.... silver bullets for werewolves ....

.... and obnoxious rap videos for Mick

Maurizo, I am a Guzzisti in good standing. I had a Jackal which I modified a lot and never having liked the name I changed the name to Lupo since it was a meaner dog. My riding buddies started calling me Lupo and the name stuck.
Ciao

p.s.  You are right, I am a young immature 59 years old :)

I kinda have to agree.  Rap is definitely not my prefered music, but if you can get around that and listen to the lyrics, it's actually not too bad.  But what do I know, I've got punk bagpipes (and no, not the AC/DC ones, the Barleyjuice ones) next to "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" and Lewis Ray Cammarata on my MP3 player! :D
