It really is ghost rider!  Look at the leaf spring front end.  That kind of bike hasn't been seen on a track for more than 70 years.

I just rewatched that movie today!!  

is he in one of those flame retardant suits??  no safety people seem to be moving to help.  and the number plate is completely different from the other number plates

Phelonius #60 also has girder forks..some guys prefer them depending on the type of racing.

Vintage race, probably AHRMA based on the helmets. Pretty common for indians to light on fire, the stock carbs weren't very good. The 1938 Chief I rode to Sturgis in 93 backfired and spit off it's carb on I-90 in montana, right on the Continental Divide.

Good thing about that photo? Indians are iron engines except for the pistons. It is easily repairable.
