As I mentioned on another thread, I went to seek the source of the trade winds.
I did not have to travel far, as the source was only about 3 miles from where I live.
These winds are man made. There are great machines, dozens of them located on some rolling hills west of town down by the sea. When energized, these machines create the trade winds. I have seen this for myself several times when the trades were strong I went to these fields and caught them in the act.
I suspect that there may be others in other parts of the island and maybe when used in a co-ordinated manner can be used to hold the island in its correct position so that it does not drift aimlessly about.
Every time the trades are blowing I find these machines running. This cannot be mere coincidence.

Be wary of large pink snails, they are known to push little islands around.

I'm from a seafaring nation and I never knew that.
I thought sea Captains were told all about the tradewinds just after graduation from sea captains school ,only on the condition that they NEVER reveal the secret, and now after a thousand years you let the cat out of the bag,Shame on you.

P you are absolutely correct. The source of wind is not hot air. it comes from my ex wives.

In the days of the square rigged ship I suppose these machines were turned by slaves who were kept strong by eating Live buffalo, hence the reason there were no buffalo left by the time white men arrived.

They have tons of those up the Columbia Gorge. That must explain why there's always a strong headwind when I ride up there, they've got those fired up! :D
