Title: Re: checkin out Post by Boofer on 11/28/10 at 21:26:49 Thump, Sorry to hear. An 86 yr old lady from church passed away last week from that. Hospice here sent her home and came by her house to regulate her morphine. Many went to visit her, and she cheered them up as much as they helped her. Hospice here is great. They have helped many, and I hope your experience is as good as it can be. There are still people in this world who care about strangers and help them in a very personal, private time. Barry |

Title: Re: checkin out Post by stinger on 11/29/10 at 01:40:30 If its her time to go, stay and hold her hand and talk to her in a normal voice. Even if in a coma I was told they can hear. My mom hadn't been responsive for over 24 hrs and we were told the time was near. My mom used to be a dance teacher, and about a hour before she died, I asked her if she would like to go dancing. I saw something in her eyes like excitement and she let me take her hands and sway them back and forth. She started breathing slower and I looked into her eyes and told her it was time to go mom, and she died dancing |
