It appears Leslie Nielsen passed away a couple of days ago.

he was great ,I cant fault the guy,he had a gift for comedy , he always made me laugh before he did anything.I loved it when he oppened the door in old Mrs Bush's face in the white house, she did watch the scene before they used it , but being a good sport about it she just laughed,and then agreed to use it.

And Serowbot I wish we could call you shirley. so much easier than Serowbot, shurely that would'n bother you would it ?

I actually hated most of those movies.  That kind of humor doesn't really appeal to me.  But he was one heck of an actor.

I still use the Shirley line all the time....

I couldnt stand to watch him. I dont consider what they did as humor. It was embarrassing just to watch people act like complete idiots, unable to function in the most basic capacities. WHY is that funny? Maybe if I could laugh at a skateboarder landing bad on some video, then I could find the humor in pure stupidity.
I just hope they dont have a marathon of his movies in his honor,,

All that aside, I do think he was a nice guy.

in my radio day an l.a.  i had occasion to meet him several time,
really great guy, down to earth, and he really loved that little phart machine he carried around,  and he never got tired of the shirley line.
