Title: Winter Weather Safety Tips
Post by Midnightrider on 01/30/11 at 06:30:47

It has been suggested that anyone traveling in the current winter conditions should make sure they have the following:

Shovel
Blankets or sleeping bag
Extra clothing including hat and gloves
24 hours worth of food
De-Icer
Rock Salt
Flashlight with spare batteries
Road flares or reflective triangles
Empty gas can
First Aid kit
Booster cables

I looked like an idiot on the bus this morning!  :-[

Me too...
I didn't have any rock salt, so I brought a can of pepper...

Took a while for me to "get" the reason for the empty gas can.
Some toilet paper mite be a good idea, too.
Make sure the car has enough gas to keep ya from freezin & dont let snow build up around the exhaust.

Yeah, why would you be needing a gas can on a bus?
They use diesel.

But, if you're thinking of using it for 'that' which would need TP... kitchen trash bags would be a better bet.  and some duct tape.
