Yep, rome style chariot.
Dudes got balls AND brains.
Balls to be seen running down the road in that thing behind a merry go round pony and brains to figure out how to make it work.
Bet he gets a LOT of looks and even a lil grief from some for being seen behind a Pony...lol More power to him though. Needs a horse hair crest on his helmet though...lol

oh, and weapons - we need spears and probably a bow-arrow thing going on too.  :D

SPQR -- Senatus Populus que Romanus "Senate and People Of Rome"

And Spartacus was a Thracian.  Thrace is today the southern part of Bulgaria, the European part of Turkey and a sliver of eastern Greece between them.

He led a slave rebellion against Rome that darned near succeeded.

There were several "clubs" , well, gangs of guys, in Odessa in the 60's & 70's. They had nice jackets, like the jocks wore, but they had logos of their Club on the back. Spartans were one of them. Rumors of the initiation & what they would do to people they caught out alone were enough to keep me well clear of those guys. I think Celtics were another,

Actually, it was Kirk Douglas in the movie, and Andy Whitfield in the Starz television series.  Season One of the Starz show ended just as the slave rebellion began.  I was looking forward to the second season giving an interesting take on Spartacus as a rebel leader.

Unfortunately Mr. Whitfield has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma.  The rebellion has been postponed pending his recovery, so Season Two is being done as a prequel showing the rise of the gladiator "school" in which he spent Season One.  It's gone from souped-up history to "Do you like gladiator movies?"

On the bright side, it's a gladiator movie with lots of stage blood, bare breasts and simulated sexual activity -- in other words, great entertainment!   ;D
