Title: Theridiiae family i think Post by Reelthing on 03/07/11 at 23:49:18 Each year as it warms up out come the critters - if this one had any red on it at all it would already be dead - but I'm not sure what it is yet: http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i433/Reel_thing/sp1.jpg http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i433/Reel_thing/sp2.jpg |

Title: Re: Theridiiae family i think Post by justin_o_guy2 on 03/08/11 at 06:57:19 According to my daughter,if itsa spidera, itsa grossa, tooa,.. If its black & has a red hourglass shape on its belly, itsa deada,, If its brown & has a violin on its back, itsa deada.. Thems the only ones I know how to identify & know theyre dangerous. . Websites say Black Widow & Brown REcluse are the only seriously venomous spiders in Texas. Worked on a drill barge in the bayous in Louisiana. The stern was where they kept all the barrels of waste oil & stuff. It was loaded with huge, colorful spiders. Id go back there & watch them do what spiders do. No one else would ever come back there with me,, they missed so much. Its been 33 years & I still remember watching those things catch & kill their prey. |

Title: Re: Theridiiae family i think Post by buttgoat1 on 03/08/11 at 09:14:10 I always liked the huge colorful barn spiders. I usually get some around the house, on the porch, just let them do their thing. |
