You got that one pretty quick -- it is not a phone chip though, it is an Intel x86 capable chip so it can run Windows.

Try this one (hint -- it isn't solid state and it ain't small capacity)

Hmmm a Toshiba 1.8" hard drive... Looks like they top out around 250gigs Thoes things are tiny!!

Remember when I said that HP will move their new operating system mainstream on their main PC line?

It will start out as an add-on to Windows in 2012 so folks can swap stuff seamlessly back and forth from their phones -- but you can expect some netbooks etc to come out soon with this OS as their main squeeze.

Note to MicroSoft -- Windows 8 had better be light, quick and fully cooked when you start to ship it boys -- you ain't got another mulligan ball to drop in this here OS golf match, and you sure can't fumble this 4th down pass and expect to win over the next 4 years.

This one is from (way back in) 2008 and runs at 300MHZ, has 16MB
of flash memory puls a 1GB Compact Flash card, runs Linux.

Oldfeller: Amazing but practically useless because you still need a keyboard,
mouse, screen and memory storage units for it to be functional.

The future is in all-in-one portable PCs like smartphones and pad
devices, (and soon wearable devices). I recently bought me a
no-name 7" Android Pad (nexoc pad7) for, get this, $60!!!
and 4 months later I'm still amazed at how capable the junk thing is.

- 300MHz / 128MB ram / 4GB solid state drive
- good wifi
- SD card slot (up to 64GB)
- a regular headphones jack
- 1x usb 2.0, 1x mini usb (goes to pc and/or charger)
- decent screen (800 x 640) and a responsive touchscreen
- 7-8 hour battery life (with brightness turned to 10%)
- just amazing!

Runs:
- doc, ppt, xls, txt, pdf, jpg, e-books, etc
- mp3, mp4, avi, mkv, mov, 3gp, youtube, etc
- regular internet (opera mini)
- all kinds of widgets, applications and games
- runs on android 1.6

I don't do the facebook crap nor chat online but I do surf, check
mail, the news and the weather with it (important if you ride) and
also use it as a recipe book (with pictures and video-recipes), or
to take complete (audio, video or documentary) university
courses from "the teaching company", youtube or podcasts and,
sometimes, I even watch shows or complete 2hr movies on it.

With a thing like this for 60bucks and literally the library of Alexandria
at your fingertips nobody has the excuse anymore to be a slacker!

Stimpy, I've been looking at pads too, but haven't seen one that cheap! I recently upgraded my phone to a Samsung Focus. Its Windows Phone 7 (I'm still not sure I like the OS better than 6.5) but I did find a cool cooking/recipe app -- BigOven.com The app is nice and user friendly, and I like their website too. Check it out.

There's a big "wow!" factor to the tinyness,... but, once you hook a usable keyboard, hard drive, mouse, power supply, and screen...
It'll look like an octopus...

I'll stick with my netbook,...screen, keyboard, touchpad, 160g hard drive, wi-fi, and power, all built in... I just plug in an external DVD when I need it.
...if only it had HDMI output, it would be perfect...

I do like the low power Intel Atom chip... allows so much quieter computing.
Some of the newer, high power computers sound like a jet taking off on your desktop...
