Title: In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb... Post by runwyrlph on 03/31/11 at 05:50:07 I guess that's correct. Lambs are white & fluffy, aren't they? Sometimes I hate PA! |
Title: Re: In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb... Post by prechermike on 03/31/11 at 05:52:30 Not white and fluffy here, more like brown and mushy. It has warmed up some today, only in the 40's yesterday. Not exactly the best day for a funeral, but here I go. NExt wek is supposed to be much better. |
Title: Re: In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb... Post by kimchris1 on 03/31/11 at 07:28:47 Lots of wind and rain. Raining heavy in the mountains. Snow melting and now rivers are reaching flood stage in many areas. We scheduled to have 17 trees taken out from around our house. Yesterday crew showed up, we all agreed nahhh.. Then this a.m. more wind. I called the crew and left message. Unless the wind decides to stop soon, it looks like it will be posponed till tomorrow. Will take the wind and rain instead of the white fluffy stuff..Sorry guys and gals on the receiving end of that.. :-* kim |

Title: Re: In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb... Post by Skid Mark on 04/02/11 at 14:37:24 Good point Mick. We just got a foot of wet heavy snow dumped on us last nite. Looks like I'll have to postpone running after the bike for one more week. :( |
Title: Re: In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb... Post by JohnBoy on 04/02/11 at 16:30:15 It hit 100 here on my front porch for the last two days in a row...and we are just getting started :) |
Title: Re: In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb... Post by kimchris1 on 04/03/11 at 19:24:56 100 degrees? I would be melting.. wow that is down right hot. Triple digits are rare around here, yet we do get them. No white stuff and will gladly take the rain instead of the white stuff. Then again, now that all the trees are ready for the log truck tomorrow, 19 total. I am ready for some nice warm temps so I can get started planting flowers, as well as riding..:) kim |
Title: Re: In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb... Post by verslagen1 on 04/03/11 at 19:38:45 My week is more like a buffulo, starts out cold and windy, mid week is hot and sunny, end of the week is the sh!ts and is pissing rain again. |
Title: Re: In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb... Post by arteacher on 04/04/11 at 03:33:31 Rain every day for the next two weeks here. |
Title: Re: In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb... Post by kimchris1 on 04/04/11 at 08:04:07 Crap.. Who stole the sun now?? I want it back... It is the misserable kind of rain here this a.m. You know the kind, not heavy yet light and steady. Ohhh well April showers, bring May flowers.. Wee again i am going to be soo busy planting new flowers. We also have the chain length fence to put back up. Sections had to come down so the trees could be cut down. Plus I have all my shrubs in containers to put back into the ground. They had to be dug up as didn't want the trees falling on them. Yet all this has to wait till the crew comes today and, finishes up getting the rest of the limbs and debris out of here. At least all the trees are gone and no longer a threat to coming down on the house.. :) Anytime you guys with the higher temps want to send some this way, I will gladly accept them.. Hugs.. :) :-* kim |
Title: Re: In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb... Post by 2damtall on 04/05/11 at 01:15:43 Yup, bikes are registered, inspected, maintenanced, pretty much everything but ridden... Day started off with snow, sleet, then rain, now fog. Will be up and down all week. Would 60's and some sun be too much to ask for? |
Title: Re: In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb... Post by kimchris1 on 04/06/11 at 20:48:19 I will be glad when the lamb gets warm enough to be sheared.. It got to 45 yet was sunny. I worked outside most of the day. I should be able to start replanting the shrubs back into the yard on Friday. Well that is unless I decide to take Genie out. Friday is supposed to be about 54..:) kim |
