Tokyo, Japan (Reuters) April 1, 2011 - Suzuki Motor Corporation announces their new cruiser for 2012. The E40 will replace the S40 in the cruiser line-up as the first step in a goal of creating a zero emission line of motorcycles by 2014. The E40, will be powered by an AC rechargeable lithium battery, with a range of 80 miles, and a top speed of 75mph. All the major players in the Electric motorcycle world would kill for those stats in a bike anywhere near the S40 price range. For instance the Brammo Enertia+ has an 80mile range but a top speed of only 60+mph. They have a faster model but to get in a price bracket you lose the range. 100mph but only 60 range. Personally, I'd gladly pick up an E40 if it were real and a comparable price to what we have. |
