Title: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by KristenAnn on 05/19/11 at 12:55:48 Here in the Northeast it has rained and been miserable with no sunshine for the past week, We are in desperate need of dryness and sunshine so we can all go out and get fresh air and sunshine. Plus all of our bikes are sitting lonely in the garages. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by arteacher on 05/19/11 at 12:59:03 Sun came out here for the first time in a week just as I was reading your thread. :) |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by babyhog on 05/19/11 at 13:04:32 I was expecting some today but we didn't get it. Supposedly tomorrow, but Saturday is predicted to be a very nice day. So I'm hopeful. Been rainy and dreary here too long too. Bike is crying for me too.... |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Max_Morley on 05/19/11 at 13:53:58 75 degrees and sunny here for the last 2 days. Working at gettong another sidecar trip in today, Max |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Jerry Eichenberger on 05/19/11 at 14:04:44 The Ohio Valley is to clear up tomorrow for 2 days. In all of April, we had exactly ONE day without some measurable rain. It's been almost as bad this month. Farm planting is so far behind that it's getting critical, especially for the corn crop. The old rule of thumb is that you lose a bushel an acre in corn production for every day after 5/10 that you plant. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Starlifter on 05/19/11 at 14:12:59 Sunshine? Monday we had snow showers mixed in with our daily rain and fog. Don't think the sun has been out for more than an hour since sometime in April. I haven't even gotten in a decent ride yet. Oh well it's only three & a half months till fall...we always get some nice weather in the fall. :P |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Jerry Eichenberger on 05/19/11 at 14:29:56 Lifter - If you'd get out of that awful place (Michigan) and come to Ohio, all you get is rain. We left the snow showers behind some time ago. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by EJID on 05/19/11 at 15:53:42 We've had at least a 50% chance of rain or snow everyday for the last 1 1/2 wks, and it's rained 8 of the last 10 days, so I'm wishing for a little sunshine out my way as well. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by mick on 05/19/11 at 16:46:45 for a change,a nice sunny day here in the PNW, 70 degrees, just warm enough to re-paint the car (my B/in law's hot rod) some more tommorow,Yeah ! |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by SavRon on 05/19/11 at 17:00:26 North Central Ohio was decent today. Suppose to be better Fri. and Sat. I need to mow the yard, but its like walking on a wet sponge. I really really need to ride to unleash all this winter time stress. I live on a state highway and normally see or hear alot of bikes going by this time of year. Not been the case lately as everyone else is holed up as well. I do know one thing...the bike is cleaner than ever with all the time I've had to scrub it. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by KristenAnn on 05/19/11 at 17:16:10 Saturday we are supposed to see alittle sun and they sunday is supposed to be sunny and 70 but i have a memorial service to go to. I like others need to get out and get a good ride in and shake off the winter doldrums. I do have to say my rose garden is getting greened up and veggie garden is growing like crazy. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Starlifter on 05/19/11 at 17:31:07 "Lifter - If you'd get out of that awful place (Michigan) and come to Ohio, all you get is rain. To move to Ohio and suffer those crazy Buckeye fans (not to the mention the thugs on "those OSU teams", would raise my blood pressure to the boiling point (can't have that at my age). As the bumper stickers say up here in God's country "Oh How I Hate Ohio State"! ;D |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by prechermike on 05/19/11 at 17:46:54 What's rain? http://gray.ftp.clickability.com/witnwebftp/images/7dayPM.JPG We are actually dry here. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Boofer on 05/19/11 at 17:56:12 KristenAnn, I rode today in 75 degree sunshine. We had a very wet spring complete with killer tornados. I suspect we will have a hot summer here in the Southeast. I hope you get to ride and release some endorphins and Serotonin soon. While you are homebound you may enjoy Cycle World's website. They have some good articles if you like to read. :) |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by webhead on 05/19/11 at 18:38:21 I live in NY. Been nothing but rain all week and they say until sunday and then again all next week. I just got my bike friday and haven't rode it since. It's been sitting in my garage under the cover. This sux. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by kimchris1 on 05/19/11 at 18:46:21 We have gone 197 consecutive days below 70 degrees here. The last 4 days have been temps in the 60's and today almost 70.. Tomorrow is supposed to be our highest at 71 with clouds coming in the later part of the afternoon. I took Skat on a nice ride Tues, and today. Lots of bikes out. Now tomorrow if my Asthma stays under control, (keeping fingers crossed) I am planning to take a nice long ride. Allergies have been kicking my butt and Dr put me on some other meds. I am feeling much better and do belive I will be up to it. KristenAnn, hugs and hope you have some sunshine to ride in soon as well. It has really been a long time coming herel. I was able to ride with short sleeves and my light weight leather jacket, no sweat shirt underneath.. It felt soooo goood... 8-) kim |

I got out to ride for an hour today. tomorrow looks like sunshine and upper 80's, and I'm only working half a day..so geuss what I'll be doing when I get home. |

Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by WD on 05/19/11 at 20:38:25 Amen verslagen1! But the shine is on the basement steps. ;D Been there since the 60s, should be smooth by now. Guaranteed contaminant free, neighborhood bootlegger wouldn't sell anything he wouldn't be willing to serve at communion. (It's the Bible belt, what else can be said) Was cool here Monday and Tuesday, only hit the low to mid 70s. No rain. Tomorrow should be high 80s, 30% or so chance of rain, late in the evening. Come on down here KristenAnn. Decent roads, lots of other stuff to do. Corn is 15" high in the rear garden. Should be picking around July 4th. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Southpaw on 05/19/11 at 22:03:52 It rained so hard in central Missouri today we had squirrels on surfboards riding down our street!....Either that, or I got mixed up on my medications this morning..it could happen! ;D Anyway it rained REAL hard! |

Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by KristenAnn on 05/20/11 at 06:04:17 WD I would love to come down and visit where there is sunshine and fresh air. The whole picking corn thing doesnt sound so good, lol. Along with the rain keeping me in the house my boyfriend had rotator cuff surgery last wednesday so he has been home with me. Dont get me wrong i love the man but i am going to kill him. Cant wait for the sun any more. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by prechermike on 05/20/11 at 11:56:51 As I posted before, it has been dry around here. Most days have had some clouds and some areas have gotten some rain, but not alot. It makes it good to take the bike, 70-80 degrees, some sun, but not beating down on you. Very pleasant riding conditions. And I have been riding alot. On the down side, it has all been to the hospital. In the past two weeks I have rode about 700 miles, to the hospital and back a good friend and church member is there. I thought I was going to get rained on today before I could get back, but no such look. The sun is once again shining here. I have been getting really good mileage, though. I am putting about 1.75 gallons of gas in and riding 100 miles or so. I checked it once and got right at 60 mpg. That is pretty good for a big boy like me! |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Ed L. on 05/20/11 at 16:59:53 It's hot and humid down here in Florida. Heat index is about 96 degrees with no breeze to cool things off. Good weather to ride in till you get stuck in traffic, Then you just melt from the heat coming off the road. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Wolfman on 05/21/11 at 01:51:54 It dont quit raining here in MO we're going to slide off down below arky land towards florida. Bad enough we had 10+ in the last front and now another 5-10 in this one till thur i think they said. But we got neighboring states(IL) blwoing holes in our dikes giveing us some of their water to! If it was fall the whole state would be a Duck hunting reserve! No dry time for long rides and barely any dry time to make short runs to town. We have had maybe 5 days in the last 3 weeks with some decent sunshine. Most days have been anything from light to torrential rains around here. :'( |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by WD on 05/21/11 at 06:21:48 Rotator cuff surgery huh? I was supposed to have that done in high school. 20 years later and my shoulder still hops around but works fine. The one that shattered and was rebuilt with plate and screws on the other hand... Bring him too, I'll mow a path to the north dock. Deep water, 2 acre pond, lots of crappies, bass, etc. Just needs a cane pole, those can be worked one handed. We've got guest facilities. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by kimchris1 on 05/21/11 at 07:32:08 WD, sounds like you landed in Paradise man.. It all sounds so beautfiul and yet alot of work to be done as well. Oh well your tough and somewhat young.. hahah.. How about some pictures of the place? Maybe we need a Suzuki run to WD's new digs. How many guests can you accomondate at once? Oh and now rain after 4 consecutive days of sunshine.. First 4 in a long time with temps this warm.. Supposed to clear up again and be 65 Tuesday.. :) kim |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by photojoe on 05/21/11 at 18:03:56 I got caught in a downpour yesterday about 30 minutes from home. You know, buckets. I just rode though. It's been a while since that happened. But, we had a beautiful day today for the Ride for Faz Poker run. 70 miles of sunny bliss, and it was for a good cause. Hundreds of people did the ride for firefighter Jason Fazio who has been in the hospital since January after being critically injured fighting a fire in Asbury Park. Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by WD on 05/21/11 at 21:23:09 KC1, still haven't found the f'n phone cord. Paradise? Smells like a compost pile and there are ticks, snakes and fire ants. And lots of 10' tall poison ivy. How many guests at once? I don't know, how many tents can you cram onto 54 acres comfortably? Manor house is 3 bed, 2 bath but the plumbing is screwed up (pipes were added in the 1920s, attached kitchen in the 1950s). Summer (pool) house is one room. My house is one bed, one bath, one office. I condemned the hayloft since it has seen 90 years of wood boring bumble bees. Guest house (surplus fema trailer) sleeps 4 but the bathroom is tiny. So is the kitchen. Winter wheat/soybean field takes away 6 acres. Pond takes away another 2 acres when at full capacity (as it is now). Gardens will cover another 6 acres in the next couple years. Farmstand, blacksmith shop, woodshop and chicken yard will take away a bit more. Blowdown removal restarts tomorrow. I figure I can cut/stack 1-2 cords of oak a day. I'm always here, forum members are always welcome to stop by. If you can find us, my brother in law got lost trying to find the next town over last night. Late to his own brother's burial. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by KristenAnn on 05/22/11 at 07:24:17 You make it sound so beautiful and scary all at the same time. Still no real sunshine here. We arent supposed to get rain today but it is 56 degrees (chilly) and very over cast. I went and started up the girl yesterday and sat on her and she wanted to go out but i had to say no as it was raining out. Maybe if we get some peaks of sunshine i will go out today. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by WD on 05/22/11 at 14:43:48 We got the thunder, lightning and rain today. So I've been inside. Garden needed the water, so did the orchards. Kristen, it's beautiful but dangerous. Once I get the orchards mowed and some scrub trees cleared from the pond bank (willows are eating the docks) the other concerns will go away. Except for the acres of privet hedge clumps, for which I blame the original 1790s property owners. Good for the bees, hard on bush hogs. And you can't kill it unless every shred of root gets pulled. And burned. Still planning to have a "Pick-ups and Pin-ups" event here next summer, open to 72 and older domestic trucks, pre-65 domestic cars, and any era single and twin cylinder motorcycles. A for fun event, no trophies or other trash to drag home. Fire up the meat smokers, chill a few kegs, maybe raise a few bucks for the local kids hospitals. Just an informal goof off thing... |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by scroop on 05/22/11 at 18:31:18 Had a beautiful day to ride Saturday. Put on a little over 100 miles. Lots of other machines out there too. Back to the rain tomorrow and for the week. Oh well, as mentioned by others the garden needs it. I must be getting used to it because it doesn't matter anymore if it rains or shines. Outside of the fear of hydroplaning, the nuisance of putting on all of the rain gear, and having a dirty machine I really don't care. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by bluedad on 05/23/11 at 06:15:00 It was a beautiful weekend in 'Bama, I put in little over 200 miles..mainly little country back roads. |

Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Wolfman on 05/24/11 at 23:45:45 Hello, im from the land of tornadoes, severe T-Storms and flooding. What is Sunshine??? :D It semi cleared enough today to kick the temps uo to fire off more storms tonight. I just HAD to get out on the bike, even if just for a town run. Enjoyed the looks i got as i rode home with a roll of 24 inch chicken wire strapped across the back of the bike...lol Didnt enjoy the look of the fricking clouds rolling in again. At least it 'looks' like we might have a decent weekend for memorial day. Ill get a good ride in then. ;D |

My mother is visiting Phoenix and we've been discussing the difference in humidity levels and how dry heat doesn't usually make you sweat like our humid climate does. She said she ate an ice cream cone outside in 90 degree heat and it didn't even melt. That's just so foreign to me! And cold cans don't sweat either? Call me silly, but I never thought of that before. Lol So why does Bot sweat so much? Probably don't really want the answer to that. Lol. Of course I had time before it actually rained, but didn't want to chance it. |

You're a winner with us, KristenAnn! If it's a muscular problem, try a heating pad - 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. Don't use heat while using a topical NSAID though. A little massage may help as well. De-stressing techniques such as deep breathing and letting your body weight sink down into the chair / bed may also help to relax your neck and shoulder muscles. No Japanese algebra here, just a few simple things that may help get you out on the road sooner. Good luck. |

I've been trying to find a calm day to install some french doors for two months and every day is 15 to 40 mph winds... (I finally did it in spite of the winds, because I had to beat the heat)... (a 6' x 6' hole in your house will get you moving fast when the winds kick up to 20 or 30mph...)... This is truly a bizarre weather year!... http://i600.photobucket.com/albums/tt82/serowbot/frenchdoors006.jpg?t=1306569758 |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Wolfman on 05/28/11 at 02:13:45 Yeah i been needing to take down and fix the outside antenna for some time now. Between pi$$ing down bucketfulls or blowing like a Banashee ive stayed off the roof. But this freaky lil inside antenna just drives me absolutely bugchit as it keeps loseing the signal. >:( |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by KristenAnn on 05/28/11 at 20:31:33 Yeah!! I got out for a ride today with a fellow forum reader. It was approx 35 miles round trip and it felt so good. I took him and his wife to a little icecream shop in the middle of nowhere on a farm that makes the icecream fresh right there. They also have a petting "zoo" area that you can feed and pet the llamas, goats, sheep, and rabbits. You used to be able to feed the cows but they stopped doing that. Oh well. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Wolfman on 05/29/11 at 00:00:35 Kristenann, if you want something you can use anytime day or night try Salonpas Patches. I use em for muscle soreness(real bad back) in my neck and back. Ex uses em for carpal tunnel and rhumatoid arthritis. They work pretty good. If your into rubs Flexal if you can find it or Extra Strength Pain Buster II. I like flexal better but be carefull as you can overdo it. The pain buster works pretty well to. Works more on the pain then the soreness though. You can find all of them at walmart. The solanpas you can wear to sleep or up around during the day. Just dont sweat or they come off...lol |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by scroop on 05/29/11 at 19:23:49 Fresh made icecream...I'm gonna have to look for that around here! Like everyone else, we've had our share of rain, but the wind has not been bad at all this spring for us. Did a good ride today with an old friend. I usually ride alone, so it was a nice change. The warm weather brought out a lot of nice machines. Went to check out the temporary Flight 93 memorial site in Shanksville (off rt 30 near Stoystown). Phase one of the permanent site will be open to the public on the 10th anniversary. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Wolfman on 05/30/11 at 01:26:26 Got about a 180 mile ride in today back n forth to the cemetary. Lot of sun and humidity, hit 88 degrees. Wind was a bit stiff. Not bad going down but comeing back like to beat me to death on the slab. Back road twisties did put a smile on my face though. Just were'nt enough of them...lol DONT start hitting the curves hard when your mother is rideing in the truck behind you, at least untill you get out of sight. You'll hear "were'nt you hitting them curves to fast!"...lol |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by scroop on 05/30/11 at 06:27:10 Love those windy roads, Wolfman. Best part of riding! :) |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Wolfman on 05/30/11 at 11:09:10 Got some nice ones down to the cemetary. Many of them have a nice lil bank to them on the outside with a long sweep so you can lay into them pretty good. Got a few back to back doubles to. Down side was i was running back so didnt get a lot. Been going the other way past the cemetary id of had about 10 miles of nothing but curves...lol Seen a pretty fair number of bikes on the slab, almost got tired of waveing. Waved to a couple of sportbikes and kind of got a 'what the he!!??' look before i got a wave in return. Guess they were'nt used to cruisers waveing at them... :D Guess a lot of them were going and comeing to a local ralley at Buckhorn MO my buddy failed to tell me about untill TODAY! ::) Seen one trike looked like a big moped with lawnmower wheels on the back to. :o LOTS of harleys. You know a harley just dont look right with them big bat wing fairings on them. Couple of real nice looking choppers though. Couple of girls on the P-Pads were'nt bad either. ;D |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by bluedad on 05/30/11 at 15:46:47 Beautiful weather to ride. I put 100 on yesterday, 130 today (and it's not over yet!). Got a windshield put on my Savage, so now I feel better about the highway and interstate speeds. Got in some time on Corridor X - the Alabama interstate from B'ham to Memphis. The road is still in great condition and there's not a lot of traffic on it. Then off for about 30 miles of windy country highway. I'm still nervous on the curves, but there are plenty around for me to gain experience. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by verslagen1 on 05/30/11 at 16:00:43 No sun shine in CA, it's miserable. And there's earthquakes and tornadoes up north. Terrible, don't come. ;D |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by gerald.hughes on 05/30/11 at 16:07:23 After reading Verslagen's post, it makes you wonder if Hell would be such a bad place, or if those who are there are simply trying to scare the rest of us off. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Wolfman on 05/30/11 at 23:39:59 If you dont fear the tornadoes and flooding in MO then fear the potholes! GEEZZZ!!! I found several small ones to bang a tire in. But i also found a couple d@mn near swallow a bike!...lol All this rain with all the cold we had least winter has taken its toll on the roads. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by webhead on 05/31/11 at 03:50:31 Finally got my first 2 hour ride around the town yesterday. Fueled the bike up for the first time and burned my leg on the exhaust by accident. Small burn. I'll live. But it was really nice to be able to ride. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by babyhog on 05/31/11 at 07:14:38 Hubby and I rode a couple hundred miles Saturday. Some really nice twisties. I'm finally getting alot more comfortable with them. He told me I was about to drag a peg quite a few times. Then I got a little more cautious. He said he should have waited till the ride was over to tell me how close I was. Got to ride to work today too. 72° and foggy this morning, supposed to be hot, sunny and 95 by the time I leave work!! Predicting a beautiful week.... nice change! Now what's the current Scavenger hunt challenge? Gotta check that out... time to get some pics. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by bluedad on 05/31/11 at 15:10:23 It's been gorgeous here..a lot of sunshine..but today the high is around 98..I went out around noon but it was just too hot. Hopefully this evening I can get out again. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by WD on 05/31/11 at 15:49:26 Too hot to ride here. Heat index is over 100. Air temp was a balmy 94 today, really high humidity. I don't like to ride when it gets over about 80 degrees, black leather seat. And this is a helmet state, hardboiled brains is not a pleasant experience. I've got to fix the pool. The turtle can move into the pond where it belongs... >:( According to the news the high temp in January was 71 degrees... bleah |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by arteacher on 05/31/11 at 15:51:03 Finally a whole weeks worth! But a tad warm today- 31 with a humid-ex of 42. Celsius that is ;D ;D |

Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by kimchris1 on 05/31/11 at 21:50:44 Today was a mix, sun, clouds, rain. Then this evening it was gorgeous. Warm, sunny and very pleasant. Weekend is supposed to be in the 70's.. I will believe it if it actually happens. Might even get to use the sunvisor if it happens.. ;) kim |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by John_D FSO on 05/31/11 at 22:49:27 Mostly cloudy w/ occasional light mist here most of the afternoon, and a cool 55°F. We can put it with WD's 100° and each of us can have a comfy 77°! :D If only it was that easy. ::) |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by KristenAnn on 06/01/11 at 15:10:22 Just had a tornado touch down less than a mile from my house. The tornadoes arent like what they have in the south. No reports of any loss of life but i will update as i know more. Hope everyone is safe everywhere. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by babyhog on 06/01/11 at 17:30:05 Oh my! That's scary KristenAnn. Keep us posted! Today was another beautiful day here, 75 ride to work, 95+ ride home. Although.... one little shower came through around 2:45 this afternoon. I ran outside and moved the bike into the shop. I swear, it didn't last 5 minutes. Pavement was dry within a half hour! But it was just enough to get the bike, and me, all wet. So I took the opportunity to clean the hundred bugs off my windshield, and dried/cleaned up all my leather/vinyl. Its Wednesday and I'm thinking I'll be able to leave the Jeep sit all week and ride, ride, ride!! |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by topgunz1 on 06/01/11 at 19:21:22 102 and humid today... gotta love it! |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Z on 06/02/11 at 07:42:27 This whole week has been nice for riding here. High's in the upper 80's & lots of sunshine! It's a little chillier today. The high is only supposed to get in the 60's. Still good to ride but I need to be bundled up more. ;D Now that my bike is back in commission (I think/hope) I can get out there. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by kimchris1 on 06/03/11 at 06:01:04 Could it be, our weather is turning for the better? Yesterday sun, today as well as the weekend thru till Tuesday of next week, their saying SUN.... Not only sun, temps in the high 70's maybe even 80 this weekend.. OMG I might have to turn the a/c on.. ;D I am hearing that John Denver song, "Sunshine on my Shoulder"... now how many of you have that running thru your heads? ;D ;D Hugs all, 8-) 8-) kim |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Wolfman on 06/03/11 at 11:37:12 Naw, not john denver. NEVER John Denver. :-? More likely 'put the lime in the coconut and drink it all up' or 'The Lion sleeps tonight'.(D@mn Kid and her songs) Preffered is Bat Out of He11, Into The West or Ride of the Valkaryies. Smartbomb, Hillbilly Bone, Comin to your city, Run Through the Jungle, Cisco Kid, How do you like me Now, Courtesy of the Red White and Blue, Copperhead road, Born Free or Bullets in the Gun. Now those songs can rattle around in my head all they want. ;D |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by WD on 06/03/11 at 16:26:47 Classic country, classic metal or southern rock/rockabilly. Saw Skynnyrd (late 90s version) at the fair in Mobile Alabama. For free. Great show. Saw them at the Pyramid in Memphis in 2001 or so, very expensive and they stunk. Bank thermometer at NSA Memphis (Millington Naval Air Station for you old guys) said 120F this evening... probe is in direct sunlight in the parking lot. It is so hot lately that my power steering pump boiled and spit out its front seal. >:( Not an easy repair job on a Ranger. |
Title: Re: Anyone have some sunshine?? Post by Wolfman on 06/04/11 at 12:24:02 Well after 4 weeks of rain and tornadoes with lower then norm temps(50-55 for a high) our humidity is thick enough to cut with a knife. Something on the order of 80% or so. Temps jumped to the low 90s(92-94 avg) so our heat index has been running around 98 or so. Kinda sweltering. Prefer a Dry heat myself...lol |
