Title: Memorial Day
Post by skatnbnc on 05/29/11 at 19:16:07

A shout out to all the veterans here and gone who made the sacrifice to keep us free.

As an Air Force kid, I've seen a lot of this globe, and I am so thankful to those who have gone before, and given their all to make a better world.

THANK YOU and bless you all, men and women.

On my way to honor my Dad by decorating his gravesite as I do every year. In our family's cemetary plot, we have veterans of civil war, spanish/american war, WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. As I honor them, I also honor all veterans and active duty military.
Thank You All,
AL

My dad was on Omaha Beach on D-Day.  He talked about the war, but never that day.
My cousin Alex Kruk was shot down in Korea, only male in our family to die of heart disease.
My brother was in the Navy, I served in the Air Force -- both of us away from Viet Nam.

Rest in Peace. Brothers, Sisters, Black, white, gay, straight. All Americans FIRST. A good soldier is not bound by those labels.
