Apparently Ewan McGregor side-kick and world motorcycle adventurer Charley Boorman (Long Way Round, Long Way Down) is supposed to be here in St. John's, Nfld. today to start filming his latest project, a coast-to-coast cross-Canada motorcycle trip;

No mention of it in the local media ... and I went for a walk around downtown this lunchtime and no sign of him or his crew?? Local BMW m/c dealership is having Demo rides this Sat., and his trip is partially sponsored by BMW ... wonder if he'll make an appearance there??

If I get lucky, I'll get a photo with him and post it up ... wouldn't mind meeting the guy! 8-)

Well, 'ol Chuck was at Cape Spear, Nfld. (most eastern point in North America) yesterday, according to this pic that showed up on the Internet

Coastal defense fort? WW1 I'd guess... cannon looks a mite small for WW2 installation.
