Stopped to turn onto a busy street and hadn't noticed that the rear wheel was sitting in some spilled oil. Gave it some gas and the rear wheel went out from under me. I managed to set it down gently, so there was no damage, but I'm sure I strained a muscle or two doing it.
Hell, at least I found out that I can pick it up by myself. ;D

Praise the Savage!... had it been a heavier bike, you'd have likely pulled a couple dozen muscles...

Rubbing alcohol works wonders on sore muscles...

Found out which muscles - slightly sprained right wrist and sore shoulder.
Hope I can still twist the throttle. :-?

Boy, I know that feeling. Years ago I was rolling up to a stop light to make a left and it turned green, I goosed it, back tire went out from under me and there I was sitting bolt upright, legs straight out in front of me in the middle of a 4 lane intersection. Sure would have liked to had a video of that.

I was lucky and didn't hurt anything but my pride but it sure was embarrassing. I snatched that old Honda CB77 up and got the heck out of there. I could just hear all those people laughing at me.

Maybe because I'm older, but all passers by asked if I was OK, and one if the bike was OK as well. I wasn't embarrassed, I was mad because of the oil I slipped on.

Age may have something to do with it. It was almost 45 years ago when it happened to me and I don't think I gave anybody a chance to ask about my condition.

I doubt I'd be as quick to get on my feet now. :)

I was doin a quick U turn & hung the left peg in a pothole, kinda did a Bat Turn & almost went down, but managed to gather it up & ride on out of it. Glad, too, cuz I did that in some pretty good traffic..
