National treasures , IMO.. I didnt know where RF came from, I thot it was part of the Mad Magazine thing,, my older sister had Mad Mag around, I SAW what was going on,, I was just so busy riding my bicycle, fishing, climbing trees, playin football with the gang, reading, I never got into any of the fads except building models. I think I had all the Weirdo Models, Outhouse Dragster was my fave..  didnt listen to the radio then either,

From the mind of One Man came all those wild vehicles?  If I was gonna read a Biography,,, it would problee be his.

Thanks a ton for that post, & the music went wih it so well..

This is worth renting:
Tales of the Rat Fink
2006 NR 76 minutes
A veritable explosion of famous names lends their voices to director Ron Mann's rousing tribute to mid-century counterculture animator and custom car designer Ed "Big Daddy" Roth. This energetic documentary is a blend of original music by The Sadies, innovative animation and narration by John Goodman. Paying homage to Rat Fink's radical creator are Ann-Margret, Matt Groening, Jay Leno, Billy Gibbons, Brian Wilson and Tom Wolfe, among others.
