Skat, sending rain your way. We really needed it. Maybe it won't steer around you. Nice three hour rain today and more promised for Mississippi.   :)

we need RAIN badly!

had wicked lightning and thunder storms go thru last nite and again today and they passed with NO RAIN!  :(

just bottle some up and send it on - the poor corn here is very sad and brown, and i have had to water my herbs daily - never usually do that even in summer here.

I remember riding from Portland to Illinois a few years back on my Savage. It was mild temps til I hit Illinois and then I swear I thought I was gonna die!  It was over 90 and it was the first time I ever actually felt humidity like that! Every stop light sweat was dripping from my chin onto the tank and my clothes were sopping wet! I even had misquotes landing on my arms at noon while sitting for just a second or two. Do not get much humidity here in the Northwest and you never see mosquitoes until late in the day. We are known for our rain but in actuality we get a lot less than many states. We get ours a little at a time over a long period and some states get dumped on all at once causing major floods. But I bet many in here would find NW weather more annoying than the  humidity.

I don't miss the Pathetic Northwet. I'll deal with a couple months of high heat and humidity to be able to comfortably ride the rest of the year.

Skat, we're picking and processing sweet corn this weekend. Should I save you some?

WD, You have mentioned your place on a few posts throughout.  It sounds like a little piece of Heaven.  How about some photos, brother.

Well at least our first day of Summer was nice.
Since then, cloudy, cooler even some rain. :(
Weekeind is looking better as well as the start
to the new week.
Yesterday I got in a little ride, I cleaned the house
and am working on a sewing project.
Needed a bread and the bike did the job..:) kim

You turned your bike into a loaf of bread?  :-? Sorry KC, you set that up perfectly.

Photos? Of an old plantation? Why, haven't you seen Gone With the Wind? Think Tara...

Just messing with you, Lisa hid the camera during a whirlwind cleaning spell, her boss (who is also her cousin) was coming over. I'll try and find it this weekend. Keep in mind I have over a thousand scrub trees to cut down still, Jack got rid of his cows 20 years or so ago and the native vegetation came back with a vengeance.

Had a couple of nice days this spring and one nice day this summer.  Heard "They" were going to cancel summer this year and get right into fall.  Feels like it today.  Kinda wish "They" had made the decision a bit earlier, before the trees fully filled out.  It would have saved all that raking.

Anyway it gives me the winter to get that little electrical poroblem sorted out and get my sticker.  Should be good to go by spring, no sweat.

Summer hit while we were sitting in a Mexican food joint in Big Spring. It wasnt as hot that day as the day before, that was 106,, summer started & it was only 97, & there was a fire on the outskirts of town. We had just been to my mother in laws funeral,, the smallest Ive seen. There were 6 of us, 2 of her grandkids were in North Dakota & couldnt make it, a couple of her cousins in California are still alive. Never seen such a small group for a funeral, but she outlived everyone else,

Livin in East Tx means theres just no really good Mexican food..
