Title: What would you do? Post by ocdave on 06/29/11 at 15:35:23 I just got my Savage running again today. Replaced my motor with one I purchased on Ebay a few weeks ago. I put a "best offer" of $350 on a '98 with supposedly 12k miles. The motor finally arrived. The motorcycle shop seller took two weeks to get the motor crated up and shipped. The motor came nicely packaged. I noticed some oil drip on the floor during the install. I figured it could be due to the fact that I set it on its side to get it into the frame. Anyways, motor runs nicely seems to have good power but I seem to have a nice oil leak coming f5rom I think the head gasket. The seller described the condition as excellent. Should I make a fuss? Is it even worth the hassle?I only paid $350 for the motor plus a lot of extra parts that I have and will be selling off, i.e. carb, starter, rectifier, coil ignitor, wiring, etc. I realize I can give him a poor eBay rating. Should I ask for a partial refund? What would you do? http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2011%5C06%5C29%5Cbikepics-2232595-full.jpg |

I think you got a bargain...;)... PS ... nice lookin' bike... PSS... get those chrome head covers off,.. and I'll say even nicer stuff... ;D... |
