Title: click click boom Post by JBK on 11/09/12 at 15:21:34 got on my bike this morning and got nothing from the pushing of the starter button. battery seems ok, headlight is bright I mean. Clutch is engaging properly. So I was wiggling the wires coming from the little black box under the clutch handle and there was a click. noticeable. and it fired right up. so my question is does the switch under the handle need replacing or can I just bypass it or what? |
Title: Re: click click boom Post by verslagen1 on 11/09/12 at 15:28:42 You should be able to replace it. some don't care for safeties, but you may appreciate it one day. check you have good connections and no broken wires. |
Title: Re: click click boom Post by TobyJug on 11/09/12 at 15:30:16 You can bypass it - but then you'll be able to start in gear. No big deal since we all used to be like that a few years ago. You just have to pay attention. And seeing as how you ride a bike you need to do that anyway. |
Title: Re: click click boom Post by Cavi Mike on 11/09/12 at 16:34:15 The switch may not be what's wrong, it could just be corroded connections. If it's fine now, that's all it was. |
