I think we'll look more like Germany than France. There is still a very strong work ethic in the US that while under attack, will take a while to beat out of everyone. We'll still be in the top 3 economic-wise, but freedoms will continue to slip away. Now that the healthcare thing is out of the tube, I'm not sure how it can get put back in. The expansion of government and the subsequent feminization (only polite word I can think of that means wussy) of American will continue. The way this gun debate is going is a perfect illustration. Our influence in the world will lessen and eventually, there will be horrible consequences to pay because of it. I don’t see any circumstances where my future grandchildren will have the opportunities I had. I was never a huge fan or Romney (no conservative was), but he was at least a way to slow this downward spiral a little. |

I never thought I would live to see states wanting to withdraw from the Union. Enough people go hungry and homeless there will be a revolution. He said innocent residents “may not be doing anything but walking their dog. But they’re going to have to prove it.” I'm keeping my guns and buying more ammo. There's a couple of more guns I want if I can afford them. Chances are I will never have to defend myself from an armed criminal but chances are getting better everyday I will have to defend myself from a tyrannical goverment. (Really, who was for TARP?) 2) Readable legislation, available to all, before the vote. 3) No more unrelated pork barrel amendments to any bill. 4) A simplified tax system with less loopholes. 5) Less government interferences with personal choices. (Regulation of churches and church charities on one end, and gay marriage on the other) (Not that the sides agree on the specifics, but the slogan can work either place.) 6) Audit the Fed. (Really, who is against this?) And this is off the top of my head. |
