Midnight -
I've seen that clip before, but watched it again - a really great thing that the Navy does for those who escaped on December 7th.
I had an uncle who was never what most of us would call a success in life.  He never had the proverbial "two nickels" to rub together, and remained a bachelor his entire life.
He served in the Army during WW II after waiting around to get drafted.  He was never bashful to say how much he disliked being in the Army.
Yet, when he was old, broke and alone, and finally had a stroke, the VA hospital took him in and gave him good care for the few days until he died of the stroke.  Then, the Army buried him, with full honors, in the VA cemetery, all at no cost to his remaining sister - my mother.
We all love to criticize our gov't - yet the military services still do care for their own.
