Title: Re: gaskets Post by Serowbot on 11/13/14 at 21:06:46 I bought a sidecase gasket on e-bay... nicely cut, but would not seal... even at torques more than double... it was just too thick and porous... I ended up buying factory original... They did refund my money,... but, I had to do the job 3 times... Using the factory gasket,.. everything sealed up perfect, no problem... Wish I'd spent the extra $20 in the first place... If the job is a hassle,... don't skimp... ;)... |
Title: Re: gaskets Post by justin_o_guy2 on 11/13/14 at 22:41:09 Imagine a printer, but instead of printing,it runs a stylus, cutting the gasket out,off a roll. The difference is,this place Uses that to make the gaskets they need. Been a few years, I spent 14ish bux,, And they don't have the factory oil control bead of goo. I had no real problem. I don't use rtv on this kinda stuff.. Three Bond, Yamabond,, |
