I just went to take off my triple tree and repaint it after work because it was all pitted out. Now I ant seem to get the fork caps back on and I am stuck at work. Anyone have any tricks for me? Thanks |

It would have been great if I had another pair of hands. One thing I did that helped was to take the spring out and start the cap on. Make a mark with a felt pen just before the threads catch. Mark the cap and the leg then replace the spring, line up the marks and try again. Good luck. |

He didn't have a Jack under it. Just as I walked up,he finished unscrewing the second cap. The front end collapsed, oil went everywhere, he looked at me like, What the heck just happened? I was just the paper boy, looking to B.S. with him and collect the monthly fee and TRY to get him to hire me as a sacker at the store he was assistant manager of.. That day I just helped him get a milk crate under the bike.. FWIW, he did eventually get me on at the store. |
