Knowing answers to questions doesn't prove intellectual superiority.
It shows that you've seen the answers and remember them. Can't be an idiot and do that, granted..but, wanna thumb wrestle?

Hey Bot, 97% !! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) Missed one too, the one about Maimonides, or however it's spelled. Most I knew, and maybe a few I guessed.

If you've read my other posts, I don't exactly consider myself Atheist :P

But, then, you also may perceive that I am not one obsessed with his ol' King Jimmie, either, amongst other things ::) :P

I've read about "the smartest people are atheists" rhetoric before. Makes some sense-- Smart people don't just suck up the stuff they're taught--more likely to question things. Maybe? Also, I wonder if there's not a fad amongst the intellectual elite to be atheists. Who's to say that the cause and effect relationship, if it exists at all, is in the way that you think ;)

I think the idea is that atheists and members of certain other faiths know more about religion in general than Christians do. In short, many Christians are kinda ignorant. Yeah, mean, ain't I :P ;).

There is a possible explanation for this phenomenon. Traditional backwoods (being stereotypical here) Christians are often raised in their religion and in its surrounding culture and generally taught the attitude that messing with other religions is taboo. So, in the worst case scenario, they don't know much of anything, save that particular point of view that they are taught. Not just talking about different religions here, I'm talking about denominations or subsets of doctrines in denominations! It can get pretty ridiculous! Got a relative that is stuck on ol' King Jimmie-- doesn't even have a decent explanation for some of the stuff he believes like that. His attempts, if you call it that, at an explanation will blow your mind, possibly laughable for a rational human. ::) More or less just repeating the argument. Nothing... Zilch... Well, I guess at least he's going to Heaven. ::)

I wonder if some Christians can even answer most of the Christian (especially protestant doctrine/raw Biblical) questions. I'd be curious on those statistics. Man if they were poor, it'd be pretty ridiculous.

Christians aren't the only ones who don't mess with other faiths. A devout Jew (such as Orthodox, not Messianic) may consider the New Testament to be taboo from what I've heard.

A second possible explanation is that many who claim to be Christian do not take it seriously.

Alot of Protestants, especially Catholics

The ones i got wrong were Hindu and Buddist ones.

I got a 63%.
As someone who walks the line between being (more of) an atheist and agnostic, how would I know any of the information about any of these other religions?

That's muddled.

Let me simplify it: if I followed my own religion, why would I know about yours?

'Awakening' without the use of a 'snooze button' sounds terrible.

intelligence is purely "SUBJECTIVE".

Ask that atheist to turn a wrench and most are dumb as rocks. Makes for EASY pickings of their wallets/purse!
