Thought I'd bring this back from the dead. JohnH doesn't answer my emails either.  I ordered my shirt in July I think. No confirmation, no shirt, just a $20 debit from my account. He did slightly reply twice; he updated his paypal account to show that my item has shipped with usps tracking #"123" and the other time I received an automated email asking for a donation. Where are you JohnH? Answer your emails! Update you paypal phone number! Send me my shirt!

I ordered a shirt and stickers on Jan. 29th of this year.  Emailed him last week no reply on either.  The money was taken out of my pay pal account in quick enough order.  This is a scam promoted by this website.
Take the Dam_ ad of the web site.  Stop ripping people off for donations.  I'm personally taking this up with pay pal,  my credit card company and reporting it to the States Attorney.  It is fraud and the A-Hole needs brought to justice.   If he lived on the east coast instead of Washington state I would take matters up with him myself. If you want his address it is.  John Himmelberger
560 Pine Court,  Sequim, WA  98382.  A note to the local district attorney should get the t shirts moving.  By the way he has up dated his contribution site this year 2016.  Google... John Himmelberger Suzuki Savage and check out his updated contribution site.  He seems on top of taking in $$$$$ just not delivering the goods.  Rambler

Rambler,

After reading your post I am no longer going to contribute to this website. With the recent post from the owner I guess I will contribute again

So, we have a problem.... We are talking on a forum which is part of a website which is owned by some irresponsible dude we are not very proud of.

What do we do?

Title: Re: Savage t-shirt
Post by Siper2 on 03/07/16 at 07:17:00

That's a pity. :(

What do we do? Well... I've been a member of a few forums which divided due to various reasons. Hacking, ownership disputes, split opinions...

Someone who's been around here for a long time, and is respected by the community, should start another forum. That's what tends to work best - then you have good "leadership" and will garner the technical and financial support from the community.

That's my suggestion. I'll follow. :)

Rambler,

are the MOD's gonna address this issue, or what?

Title: Re: Savage t-shirt
Post by Dave on 03/10/16 at 13:08:23

The MODS have no additional contact information for Mysterious John that is not available to other members of this forum- we only have the "Personal Message" through this forum, and the ability to post threads on this forum.  The only thing that we have is an extra row of buttons on the bottom of our screen, that allows us to move/delete/hide/modify/splice/lock things that any member posts.  (We do have a "Moderators Section" that only the Moderators can access, and a post has been placed in that section that notifies Mysterious John about this thread and the current discontent.)  I can't think of anything else we can do.

For those of you who have used PayPal to pay for the T-Shirts and not received them - there is process you can use to file a claim if the payment was made within the last 60 days.  PayPal will ask the history, they will make an attempt to contact the seller, and with no prove the items was shipped....or no response to the claim by the seller....PayPal will rule in your favor and send your money back.

maybe PM those parties that have expressed this issue in this thread with you last paragraph on initiating a PayPal dispute?

Sounds like a possibility... Didn't some website of his have his mailing address? Try it at your own risk, though... :-/ I take no responsibility for the ensuing fistfight. ;D

Here's the mailing address he lists for donations. http://suzukisavage.com/donations.html

I just got an email from johnh@suzukisavage.com asking for a donation and signed "the mysterious johnh". The first thing I thought of was this thread. lol I'm all about supporting something as valuable as this resource but he's not touching my money.

It appears as though a handful of orders where overlooked earlier in the year and the end of last year. I can assure you this was not intentional or malicious. There is no scam going on and no one is getting rich.

I would like to apologize to those of you who have not received purchased Items. I am surprised and sorry to hear this. I have been contacted by two people today and issued a complete refund and my sincere apologies.

If anybody else has a claim you can reach me the following ways:

PHYSICAL ADDRESS:
560 W Pine Court
Sequim, WA 98382

PHONE: 360-460-4556

EMAIL: johnh@suzukisavage.com or johnhimmelberger@gmail.com

I have ran this site for over 13 years and in that time I have had less than 5 complaints about orders not being received and I have reconciled every one of them brought to my attention.

With this I understand I have been hard to get a hold and again I apologize. I hope my above contact info will be sufficient for those who would like to reach out.

Sincerely,

johnh

This site is owned by John, and he provides the hardware to make it available either by buying it or renting it.
For that we should be grateful and kick in a little bit once in a while.
He has never asked for a certain amount, nor threatened to take it down for lack of cash.
He has added added so it would help pay for itself, and he does pass the hat once in a while.
I don't think he carry's a brochure around with all the sites posts.  So it is not some badge he wears.
This site is ours, we carry it as a badge 'look what we've done and who we are".
It is something we can be proud of.

He did add the store in an attempt to be self-sustaining and lately hasn't been around to take care of it.
That seems to be his only fault.

The attitude of the site is yours, it can be helpful or not.
If you wish not to support it, then why are you here?

So pleased that this subject seems to be resolved.
It would be a great shame for such a great site to go down the pan.
I'm sure John has many other things to deal with and unfortunately sometimes life comes up and bites you in the ass!
Thank you John keep it going !
