Its on the right side of the back behind the batter white thers a metal cover plate that can be removed by taking off 2 screws. Behind the metal cover is the pastic park marked Suz Savave 24b00. It has a little oil on it. but there is oil im many places throughout the bike. |

Title: Re: Please Help: What is this? / small Oil Leak 24 Post by justin_o_guy2 on 04/27/16 at 18:48:23 Check the air filter. It's behind the 2400B. Look up under the bike and see if there is a hose that is plugged. Get a container under it, un cap it. The warranty on this B is still in effect. It's a New B, Welcome aboard. You'll have fun here. |

Title: Re: Please Help: What is this? / small Oil Leak 24 Post by Dave on 04/28/16 at 04:19:09 Sometimes JOG speaks (types) in code.....it is kind of like Sudoku without numbers. The engine breather tube goes to the air box, and the oil vapor goes into the front of the air box, where the oil is supposed to settle out and drop into a small compartment with a drain....while the vapor goes into the carb and is burned inside the engine. During the oil change, you are supposed to remove the little plastic cap from that drain tube, and let out the stored oil/water vapor from the air cleaner. Your air cleaner appears to be overloaded with oil....either nobody has ever drained it - or your engine has a lot of "blow by" and is pushing a lot of oil vapor out the tube. Another possibility is that somebody had the head cover off, and failed to keep the little mesh screen in the top of the cylinder cap - which separates the oil droplets from the air. The fist thing you should do is take the plug off the tube under the bike and drain the air box, take the cover off the air cleaner, remove the paper filter, clean out the air box (you likely will need a new filter), and put it back together and see if the oil leak comes back. |

Title: Re: Please Help: What is this? / small Oil Leak 24 Post by CodyT on 04/28/16 at 16:30:26 lmao, once i reread my message i had a laugh also. Thing is i knew the guy pretty well and he takes care of his bikes, but wont even do oil changes. He always pays some shop to do it. Id rather do it myself and know whats being done to my bike/ car etc.. i did kind of roll my eyes when the he told me it was normal, but after searching the forum it seemed to be pretty common issue.. not so much normal. |
