Back in 2014 Connecticut decided to allow illegal immigrants to get their driver's licenses, for some reason.

The argument was:

My counter argument is you can't get a job without a social security number as a citizen, so how can you pay for registration and insurance? From what bank account? There are still people driving without registration and insurance here...

They predicted 65,000 illegal immigrants would be getting their licenses. So much so that it is to be blamed for the recent overwhelming of the system:

And now they want to award financial aid.

I can't tell you how long it took me to get my two Associates degrees, one class per semester - and that was if I could even afford it that semester. I'll give you a hint - it was more than double the allotted time per degree.

Meanwhile the infrastructure crumbles in the face of a 2 billion dollar deficit....

I was in Connecticut a couple of years ago.... My favorite sight was the big, top of the line Mercedes with the "Public Official" badge attached to the rear. ::)

Dude , you're not gonna get Any awards from the PC police.
You not only called the immigrants Illegals, you pointed out how they are negatively impacting you and your white privileged life.
Interesting, indeed that, rather than enforce the law and send them home,just teach them to drive, give them license to share the roads.

Has your insurance gone up? Where you live matters. Insurance companies charge different amounts for the same insurance in different places. The actuaries determine the prices based on statistics. If you live where the number of wrecks per capita is higher than average, you're gonna be paying more.

The state required minimum liability insurance is very inexpensively upgraded. For just a few dollars a month you can increase it by almost half. Uninsured motorists is a no brainer.

Of course, some places have no fault, I don't know how that works.

Actually, yes.
Through a fault in the online system I registered a 2010 BMW in Rhode Island last Christmas.
By the time I got my statement I had paid more than half of my annual insurance in 3 months time.
That's remedied now.
