Title: Venezuela
Post by pg on 05/24/16 at 07:11:50

Has anyone been following the melt down in Venezuela?  They have some of the largest oil reserves in the world and their society has come to a grinding halt.

I've been noticing reports, it's been heading that way for quite a while. I don't understand what it is that Keeps people from seeing the direction of America and see that, without policy change, we are headed into a nightmare.
Disagree?

The short sighted can't see what happens when the state regulates prices..

If you have to buy materials and pay labor and electric bills, etc, then you HAVE to sell at a profit. A shortage Should be met with a higher price, which stifles waste, presses demand down, manufacturers make a profit and work out better production, solve the shortage issue with the tissue.
Providing, of course that the shortage wasn't somehow created and isn't a manufacturing capacity issue.

Our problems are growing, but, everyone has Watched that happen. It's Normal.. it's been this way for as long as we can remember, everything is okay, it's gonna be alright.

But who can grow financially, working a little burger stand?
NOBODY,
