The biggest employer in my state, and maker of commercial aircraft in the world is on the verge of losing a 350 plane order because their employees are not Union.
However the airlines, and their country provides much of the benefits that a union provides, or a higher wage can purchase.
Why are you trying to control another countries destiny as well as assuring a layoff and hardship on the very folk you say you care about?

Remarkably, at the same time that Larsen is chastising Boeing for layoffs he is leading a campaign to block the entry of a foreign carrier — NAI — that has invested heavily in Boeing aircraft built in Everett and Renton — Larsen's home district.

To even come close to grasping how such conflicting ideas could be in one brain at the same time and hear someone support both positions in the same breath would possibly be enough to cause a nervous breakdown.

Just to add another flavor to the stew....
Denm were for the export bank, and repubs were against it....
Lots of foreign airlines use that bank to purchase Boeing AC.

It's crazy.....
It's all about ones own arse and who wipes it ;D

I know that is unfair, because what that guy said, in my post, is not even possible for one brain.

I looked it up and didn't find much. A lot of info came up about you making planes for Iran though, 26 billion dollars.... :-?

I think "as the bigger picture" becomes more view-able after years of proving out, sorta like how we opened up trade with China, Cuba, Etc, we will see it unfold as a better way to introduce democracy, as opposed to the other options.

Yes, this will lead to US market decline in some sectors, and it will eventually lead to the one world leadership, but I don't think any other avenues exist, isolationism will only seal our fate, sooner.

This just riles me because I have many friends who depend on this income. I am pretty much done working.
I will retire in a little over a year so this won't impact me, and I have removed all the money I had invested out of their stock.
I still stand to make a tidy sum, and a nice employer match next year, but that is a gift.

Unless you see first hand how politics impact our economy in a real way, constraining it like you would not believe, then you can only guess, or not.

I think Not doing business with the airlines and losing jobs IS isolationist. Meddling in the affairs of other countries isn't what the Fathers said do. Trade with them, leave their affairs to them.
Look at all the places where we have been
