Certainly since JFK. As Thomas Jefferson said, “An enlightened citizenry is indispensable for the proper functioning of a republic. Self-government is not possible unless the citizens are educated sufficiently to enable them to exercise oversight.” Sadly, most believe themselves informed, when they're really just sufficiently propagandized to be able to stand on a Party platform and spout talking points and wave a finger in the air, admonishing the fools who believe differently. There are only a couple who agree with what I've been saying. And we are neither dems or bubs, and the dems and bubs have been in and out of power numerous times, NEITHER EVER REPEALS THE OTHERS LEGISLATION, but You believe that they Oppose each other. And you call me delusional. |

I would agree this table leans to the right, but I would dispute Republican. Other than myself and the rarely seen Jerry, not who else would call themselves a solid Republican. This table leans more Libertarian if anything. And frankly, the product that brought us all to this table, a low priced, single cylinder motorcycle that is almost always highly modified by it's owners, draws a certain do-it-yourself mentality that unfortunately is not representative of the population as a whole. Let's face it, there are not to many Jogs out there in the real world. Libertarians bounce all over the place on issues. There's a reason why it will always be a fringe party of a couple %. I think you need to carefully consider your basic outlook on life and stick to that. When issues come down the pike, you can run those through your filter so to speak and arrive at the right position to take. One side of the coin, liberal or conservative, will appeal to you more often. For example, I said I'm Republican, but I am against the death penalty in all cases. I don't think it's right for an individual or the state to take a life unless in self-defense or war for example. Abortion and capital punishment in my mind are both unnecessary murder. That puts me at odds with Republicans, but I think I'm right about that issue. This is also why liberal Democrats don't debate their positions particularly well. The deeper you get into an issue with a liberal, the weaker his position becomes. It's why our Sew plays the 'I'm tired of being picked on" card and dodges debates that go on to long. |
