Title: Re: Crank nut Post by RedWolf650 on 11/15/16 at 19:20:20 No and the nut is all chewed up like someone that had been in there before had used a pipe wrench on it. the timing marks are not lined up and there are other things that seemed off when I got the cover off. it had always been hard to start and never seem to run right even after I rebuilt the carb and replaced some gaskets |

Title: Re: Crank nut Post by verslagen1 on 11/15/16 at 20:00:02 well, it's probably on the back side of the nut. the crank nut on the clutch side is left handed. |

Title: Re: Crank nut Post by batman on 11/16/16 at 10:40:28 If your talking about the timing marks on the cam drive gear it might be chain stretch ,and the PO didn't know the nut was a lefty and used the pipe wrench and hammered it the wrong way ,trying to get it off.Good Luck! |
