What do you expect, Trump was/is a business man, he had to play by the corrupt horrific laws put in place by the democrats.

BWAAAHAAHAAHAAHAAAA!!!!!!

"Play by the rules"?????  WHAT????

C'mon - you gotta just own this one.  There are thousands of suppliers right here in the US that could have made trump's suits, ties and hats.

He's simply a dude who wanted to make money - the most money possible.

All you have to say is that, and that he made a mistake and will fight to change that.

But no, you want to blame the democrats.

Your comments are the reason that I have less respect for those on the right.

He is a dude that just wanted to make money, he is also a dude that wants to pay as little tax as possible. See these things make him a normal person like you and me. Not a career politician who lives a total lie.

I am a partner in a business, Distribution, and when we started 34 years ago everything was made right here in the good old USA. 34 years later we import 80% of our product. I am sure many would look at us and say we are just greedy but that is not true. If I purchased our products in the USA (which I no longer can) I could not compete and all 175 of my employees would be unemployed.

If tariffs were placed on these products that made buying USA a better deal than importing then we would be making it here instead of over there. Problem of course is that the price is inflated and we the consumers must pay the price.

Specialty Environmental products for the Construction Industry.

Americans are a strange lot. We want to raise the minimum wage to $15.00 an hour so we can shop at Wal-Mart and buy things cheaper than what they are available anywhere else in the world and then complain that everything we buy is made in a foreign country and not the USA.

You may or may not like it but everything is becoming global, you can not stop it forever. The problem with Western culture is we think we can drag all nations up to our standard of living. That will not happen. Yes some of the poorest will come up but America's will go down. You can not in the long run compete on the world stage when you pay $15 and hour and they pay $7 a day.

I do a lot of missionary work in third world countries. Americans have NO IDEA what poor is. In America we look around and compare ourselves with other Americans. We need to stop doing that. Our standard of living is NOT the norm.

The Trade Deals and crushing taxes on businesses made it difficult to be profitable And competitive. Who really believes Trump wouldn't have wanted to have his businesses in America? Your absolute hate for the man gets between being rational and being critical. He's done more for America in a week than Obama did in eight years. And, had Hillary won, instead of talking about the horrors of stopping certain immigrants we'd be talking about war with Russia.

Yea rules or regulations whatever you want to call them.  Regulations are putting a strangle hold on American business.  Want to take a guess at who likes regulations?  And what is with all this outrage about who is gonna pay for the wall?  When did democrats ever care about spending the tax payers money?  Also, do you know how much illegal immigration costs the tax payers?  Between public assistance, education, law enforcement, medical etc...by anyones measure it is many billions a year.

I know none of you trumpeteers (id'd by the long Pinnochio nose) ;)
but MShiply is correct..if you want to buy cheap (inexpensive) it will be foreign made and as the world levels out, we at the top will loose some just as the poorest nations will gain.  Tarrifs mean either you pay more cause the products' price is up (to cover increase cost) OR you pay more because the product is protect by the tariff and is thus more (If they could have competed on price, you wouldn't need the tariff).   So for example:
When The Donald says Mexico will pay for the wall, he is just bullshitting you. ;)

Before we had the Social Safety Net people came and worked. Now they come and get help. We pay for them. And they vote democrat, so we pay again. The cost of keeping them out is less than having them.
Here's the kikker.
Educated people have fewer children. Okay, I know a doctor with five kids. Exceptions exist. Generally speaking as a population is more educated they work and do other things than raise kids. Americans,, the white folks, have been saddled with higher costs of living and stagnant income levels for thirty years.
In order to maintain a decent standard of living a small family is accepted. We aren't having enough kids to replace us. Without immigration our society will fall..

THAT'S what some people want us to believe.
No, BECAUSE OF the policies that have been shoved down our throats,we are under economic pressure that causes intelligent people to not bring a child into the world, knowing that we can't adequately provide for it.

Historically, better educated societies breed fewer children into existence, but I can't see that there is a reason to have so few as to fail to create enough for replacing the dead.

You people need to get over that
Diversity is our strength crap.
A unified front wins, and you know it.
Divide and conquer is a known tactic. Diversity IS division.
See the words? If you have a knowledge of history you know how the diverse peoples that eventually wound up conquered by and brought into the Roman Empire helped bring it down.

So I wonder, what if you said the same thing about a Jew named Albert, or a Serb named Nikola?  Would you have turned away that South African guy named Musk?  How about a Syrian named Jandali, whose son was Steve Jobs?

Then why aren't we speaking Italian or Polish or German?  There are Little Italy's all over the country.  There are Chinatowns as well, Little Havanas, etc.

Yes, Spanish is the second most predominant language for the US - as it should be.  We've shared a border for about 180 years now...  In my 50+ years, I've seen ZERO culture shift.  I live in a huge city with large numbers of Hispanics - the culture of Chicago - and the US - remains the same.

I remember watching Sesame Street in the early 70's.

It had Spanish words and numbers on it all the time....

Oh no!  We've been assimilated!!!

Hey fellas - it's been 40+ years.... seriously, get over it.

We SHOULD be a multi-lingual nation - We border Mexico and Canada - these countries have native languages other than English!

There's no reason not to.

And as for our culture - I have yet to hear any other National Anthem played in professional US sports.  Cinco de Mayo is NOT a national holiday - nor is Boxing day or St. Patrick's Day.

It's sad - you're all so paranoid over nothing.

Yeah, we're diverse - as we should be.

WHO SAYS? What's up with all the Should? People are so concerned about race. Get over it. Diversity isn't a great and wonderful thing that needs sought out. It just Happens, naturally. People who find their way here Are OBVIOUSLY Not From Here. Diversity Happens. It's not a virtue, it's just a result of people wanting to come here. Get enough people who don't want to assimilate and suddenly diversity becomes division.
We Don't turn people away who will be a burden. When Ellis Island was the port of entry we were sifting through the immigrants and rejecting the rejects. Why is it wrong to exclude undesirable types? Or is it just wrong to call anyone undesirable? Do you want a kid with TB in school in your neighborhood? The fact is, life isn't fair. Subjecting OUR PEOPLE to violent and sick immigrants is just STUPID.

I live in a huge city with large numbers of Hispanics - the culture of Chicago - and the US - remains the same.

because we had the melting pot when the Germans, Italians, and Poles came over, now we have multiculturalism and global citizens.  No one assimilates anymore, we have kids in NY going to school where they are taught in spanish

LOL - yeah.... well, that's YOUR opinion.

Yeah, that'd be really something if the total immigrant population was more than 13%.... so.....

So?  When I was growing up, there were Greek schools, Jewish schools, Polish schools....  This is nothing new.

Seriously, get over it.

So was my little sister. I built her Romper Stompers. She had no idea about reality. The girl she raised I know nothing about. Her son clearly didn't get the guidance he needed. The revolvers tattooed on his body didn't save him from the knife that was plunged into his chest twice. She's so ate up with how things SHOULD be that How Things Are just didn't get treated with the respect due Reality.

Oh... right... because that's the way EVERYBODY turns out... I forgot.

You've got some deep-seated hate for others you have to deal with....  It's pretty obvious that if that's your take on "everyone else" then you've got a perspective problem.

Are you any different than you were at 5?  Yeah?  Then why do you think no one else is??

I don't have time for deep seated hate.
You exhibit signs of being convinced life SHOULD be the warm fuzzy PC way. It's not gonna work. America said
No
To status quo. The hope and change Obama offered stunk.
Trump is accomplishing what he said.
Relax, enjoy watching our government change.

Now, all you geniuses who fail to get this. I will say it again.

Unless Trump gets rid of the Emergency War Powers
And
Does something about the federal reserve and the debt
We won't actually BE made whole.

Not to worry - I live pretty well entrenched in the real world, thanks.  Most Americans do.

For some reason, you think the only one who understands anything of the real world is you...  you may want to check that attitude at the door.

Basing your perspective of me on the fact that I watched Sesame Street when I was 5 is just plain ignorant - check that too.

I knew what was going to happen after 9/11.  I saw the direction the country took.  We can never go back.  We can only change from here.  That was one of the reasons I voted for Obama - I honestly thought he'd change things - I was wrong.  But more important - he was wrong.

While I know that he did some good, more good than McCain and palin would have done, he failed to change anything substantially.  He had the chance and balked in the name of "compromise".

Yep - I voted for him for a second term fully aware of his faults.  Rmoney was poised to sell and sell hard - make no mistake.  And again, Obama didn't quite do as much as he could of.

So if I was so unhappy about Obama, what's so wrong with trump?  My fear (and it gets re-enforced a little more every day) is that all trump has ever sought is power.  Power at pretty much any cost.  He's not a humanitarian, he's not a philanthropist, he's not a civil servant - he's a raw, unmitigated capitalist with a gigantic ego.

More than anything else, I'm not in protest of trump - I'm in fear.  In fear that he'll rack up even more debt, that he'll diminish the office of president, fear that he'll (maybe unintentionally) hurt our democracy.

But you are right - trump should relinquish the war powers.  He should take action against the debt.  He should begin the restructuring of our county's "lien holder".

Do you think, given trump's record, he'll do any of that?   I don't.  That's why I oppose him.  I hope I'm wrong, but so far, nothing's giving me that hope.
