We have enough impact to speed this process up quite a bit. The faster it happens, the less time we have to prepare. It is estimated that by the year 2100, tidal flood control will be the number one employer globally. We need to stop f*kin' around and get ready. We shouldn't be running deficits, we should be saving up surpluses... this will be expensive. A very large percentage of humanity lives near sea level... This denial will cost millions of lives and trillions of dollars... Just because something will happen naturally anyway,... doesn't mean we should ignore what we must do to survive it. Buy some Arizona beachfront property for your grandchildren, now... ;D |
