Trump can say some dumb stuff, but you also have to look where his comments come from.

He has a business background, where negotiation is how everything gets done. Everything has a price. If negotiation doesn't work, the next step is the courts, and the buck stops there. That is the way he sees the world. In that world, businesses, unlike governments, do not have the "luxury" of an additional step of revolt or war.

Sorry to break this to you - but ACA is NOT a failure. The only failure is that it doesn't go far enough. The insurance companies are a hot mess and couldn't care less about patient care and care more for profits.

I think it's funny that you see everything in black and white. You're right - a liberal only agenda would be terrible. Just as a strictly conservative one would be. Just as a socialistic one would be. Just as ANY single agenda would be.

You're so busy stomping your foot down at the "terrible liberal agenda" that you're blind to see that NO ONE SYSTEM is perfect.

I happen to like the liberal offerings like Social Security, Medicare, unemployment, public schools and the like. I also like the conservative takes on waste in government, a strong military and tax reform (ONLY for the middle class).

So when people equate liberalism to marxism - I laugh. There are obvious differences - and yes, there are some similarities. But there are also aspect of marxism that the cons love too - social standards control. A hard line conservative agenda would seek to reform the social standards (religion in government, etc.). A marxist agenda would seek to do the same thing - control the social standards - how about that?

Let it go. This country will NEVER be run by a single ideology. If it does, we cease to be the United States. It will never happen.
