I'll be at the Dragon tomorrow thru Sunday riding with my friend's veterans group (mostly big Harleys). If anyone here is up in the area riding, PM me here with your phone and we can connect. We'll be staying at Two Wheel Inn.

Thanks guys. Should be a good trip with a trickle of rain here and there. Big group (~30 or so) mostly retired Navy with big 'ol Harley's so we just cruise and have a take it easy.

Ruttly, was it you that said you grew up in Montauk? My good friend I am meeting there grew up there (or at least lived there at some point in his youth). I have no idea what time frame. He's probably about 60-ish years old now.

I've stayed at Two Wheel Inn several times.
Great family owned and run place.

Yes, Don and Linda are very nice. We have about 30 people here with this group (and growing each year) and they do a good job catering to us as a group.

I am jealous......I would like to be there.

I got yard work to do this weeked - I hope to squeeze in a ride after it warms up a bit today, as it was 47 when I got up this morning. We are supposed to get up in the 70's by the afternoon.

Have fun Stew! I am anxious to see how your Kawasaki pulley works out for you on the first weekend ride with it.

Mission Accomplished!

The upgraded pulley is doing great. Did most of the Dragon in 2nd gear. Never even needed 5th gear on any of the other routes today, and only used 5th for a few minutes while we took a quick jaunt over on the super slab. We hit a little drizzle first thing this morning, but otherwise had great weather.

I made it up a day early. I think I saw Stew turn off the main drag in Robbinsville behind two Harleys. It looked like his; although, I did ride just shy of 500 today.

These are from a fire trail that goes over the mountain to Andrews.

How funny! That was me. My two friends are on almost identical Harley's and I usually ride #3. We're staying at Two Wheel Inn. Probably getting breakfast at Huddle House and heading out towards Cherokee. I'l headed back home tomorrow evening. Be good to catch up and meet you for a minute if our path's cross.

What are the odds? I pulled off an overlook by Fontana Dam to take a photo and I saw a black S40! It was a pleasure to meet Stew. ;)

What a surprise when out of nowhere some guy zooms in on a KLR and looks at me and calls my name. Of all of the roads and all of the scenic overlooks to have stopped at we both ended up there unannounced.

PG, enjoy the rest of your ride and trip home. I made it back home last night and back at work today.
