There is even an explanation for why the so called zero emissions crap isn't exactly that.. I knew it, tried to explain it, but I don't think anyone can fail to understand this guy.

Not true, every one has NG, but not CNG. you have to go down to the local station to get your tanks filled.

I knew a guy with a van conversion once. He liked it, engine lasts longer.

When you go get your tank filled for your grill...
It's all ready compressed into a liquid.
you just connect the hose and pour it in.
If it evaps, it gets pretty cold and resists evap'ing.

There's a number of larger trucking companies using CNG and LNG.
Here in FL, I've seen Frito-Lay, UPS and a couple of freight company tractors running on CNG. There's a few UPS running LNG.

LNG gives longer range than CNG but the filling station equipment to refuel is a major capitol investment and only very large fleets can make it pay off. CNG refuel stations are cheaper and less complicated. CNG refuel stations may be common one day at the big travel plazas, I know there's one already at a Pilot in Tallahassee.

Besides investment in refuel equipment, there are upgrades required to do shop repair and maintenance. As I understand it, some kind of leak detectors are needed as the tractors are worked on.

CNG Ofishul Leak detector = kitchen match

I wonder if they could use a dye like special leak finding Freon has.
Sniffers shouldn't be too hard to make.
Fuel gasses could have an additive?

Then Why would we Not change what we run cars on and Alleviate That aspect of the pollution problem?
Remove such a percentage of the problem caused by cars and suddenly the pollution burden is low enough that the fearmongers would shut up.

All the basic infrastructure for fossil fuel based machines are already in place. That's an enormous expense to make that change.

However, if the market demanded it, the change would happen. Look at cell phones. Over a period of just a few years, phones were produced, towers went up, we got rid of old landline phones, calling plans were developed (and thankfully evolved) etc.... If the technology works at a reasonable price and either fills a void or creates a demand, the infrastructure will quickly follow.

Solar, wind, CNG etc... just can't do that yet. If they did, it would have already happened.
