We pledge allegiance to our nation, that takes trust.
Why do some in government not want to earn that trust?
Why is openness not readily visible in how they operate?
Why does it take a lawsuit to get to the truth?
What is so hard about ensuring voting integrity, be it free from foreign enflunce, to a "person" casting a vote?

Why do they hide?

Because far too many are not in government to serve the people, only themselves.

Because if they were open, it'd be easy to spot their real intention.

It's not - it's apathy in the system....

Because she lets him.....

It's an ugly analogy, but very apt.
We elect these aholes.

That's not at all like the wife beating analogy.

Maybe a better one would be - "They're so thirsty for it (a non-establishment candidate) they'll crawl through the desert toward a mirage, and when they discover there's no water (only tweety), they'll drink the sand (vote him in)."
