I am game, if anybody wants to investigate/share their thoughts or experiences with either, or both.

I have experience with both, as a person who has battled the bulge, and addiction to booze.
I know the effects, and am very familiar with how indulging in these things, can bring a temporary comfort, or escape, from what lies deeper in one self.

I also see how the political arena has tried to use folks, disingenuously, I believe, to empower themselves, on the illness of folks who struggle with these issues.

It is a matter that will need frank, and honest dialogue, if we expect a public healthcare system to cover these concerns and issues.

Anybody up for some honest exchange of dialogue on these subjects?

I have experience with this. I have friends who have been removed from their prescription. Doctors have been pulling back from prescribing them for several years. But NOW it's a Big Problem.. right..
I bet trump believes what he's being told.
But, it seems a little disingenuous to decry opiates and maintain the military protecting poppy fields in Afghanistan.
Our banks launder drug money , in the billions of dollars. Our prison system is CONTRACTUALLY promised by the states that they Will be kept at high occupancy rates. Who believes Iran Contra ended drug running By the government?

Read it.. it's revealing.

The C.I.A. has a black budget that congress doesn't see. They can make money that they can use in covert ops, and by putting the drugs on the street they create criminals. Some are caught and wind up in prison. It's a win win. By taking people who are just too damaged to handle it and telling them that in order to save them from opioid dependence they will have to suffer and that predictably sends some of them to the dealer in the hood.
I'm not buying the crisis.

I know you have a hankering to think a snake lies under every rock, but this one is really to much to believe our government would use drugs to fund covert activities.
Look, Obama let 9 billion slip out unaccounted for with his cell phone program, 9 billion Jog.
That would fund a lot of covert activity I would think.

No, this is more a personal life style choice.
That is the first domino to fall.
To believe our government is sitting around waiting for folk to have a moral failure so they can utilize it requires more imagination than I presently possess.

That's a real question. Please help me understand the mission.

The propaganda that America is the shining beacon on the hill has blinded most. It's beyond naive to think the government is a moral mirror of good people. Your moral compass would fly into pieces to actually sit down and contemplate Doing what they do.

You must not remember the events that led up to Kuwait being invaded.
Do you? Do you know what we did that helped set the stage?

Do you know what we did that set the stage for the Iranian hostage event

Choosing to not Look carefully at the things I am saying is choosing to be responsive to a need to protect the paradigm you're comfortable with.

Okay. Grab the bible.
Or, just go look at the history and see what is painful and obvious.

I wish you could find the curiosity to look at my questions.
If you don't know the answers, I'll walk you through and paste links to supporting documentation as well as I can. I'm pretty sure I can find stuff to explain most if not all.
