You can be disinterested in the predictions, but the Warmlarmists USE those as clubs. They point to them and use them for support for their agenda. My point is to keep rubbing their faces in the fact that in twenty years NOTHING has come true. What scientists do you listen to for decades if they are perpetually wrong? Science is rational. Continuing to believe someone who is always Wrong isn't. Why should I trust NASA? I'm okay with my eyes. And the medieval warm period is something else the Warmlarmists are unwilling to discuss. |

Seems the most likely explanations are: 1) judgement was clouded by over zealous global warming scientists 2) climate science is still in its infancy and can't yet understand all the variables involved 3) a combination of 1&2 I say 3 is most likely. I know some morons who like to point to the recent eclipse and say 'see, this proves scientist are right and you're a fool for doubting climate change', but I would point out simply go back in time a couple hundred years and see just how wrong the scientist of those days were. Climate science may be barely past the "Galileo" phase for all we know.... |

The more I think about it, the more this thought deserves more discussion. Galileo was what; 500 years ago? Capernicus was a couple hundred before that maybe. Between them and Einstein was Newton and others. For 700 years we've been studying planetary motion, gravity etc.... And how long did it take before accurate predictions were able to be made? Before we had a grasp everting to the point we could launch rockets that land on other planets, that landed on a moving comet? Global Warming research has been around for what; 30 years? And it was hijacked by politicians (chiefly Al Gore) and turned into political issue 16 or 17 years ago which certainly seems like it has corrupted research much in the same way Galileo had to fight the church. Why should we / how could we believe we know with certainty anything we're talking about when it comes to planetary climate and how the variables caused by the constantly changing human factor impact the climate? And why is that impact automatically considered bad? |
