I suspect that lotsa people care as much, or more, than you do. But the reason they care is the opposite of yours. This could be very damaging to certain individuals. Hence the silence.

The real fact is that the office of President will no longer be respected for what it represents, whoever resides there from now in is fair game, for whatever reason.
The bar has been lowered, the Genie is out of he bottle.
