Title: No more money......fine.
Post by raydawg on 01/19/18 at 20:59:19

Washington (CNN) With hours to go before a midnight deadline for Congress to fund the government or shut it down, most Americans say avoiding a shutdown is more important than passing a bill to maintain the program allowing people brought to the US illegally as children to stay, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS.

I say let it run its course.
Got the midterms elections coming up.
Got Monday stock market results.

Lets see where this ploy ends up costing whom, what......
The line should be obvious to all who have the ability to be honest.
Lets see what the folk do, agree with.

I went to sleep.

I awoke.

The world is still here.

WHY?

It's a Hugh Jass nothing burger.
It's happened over fifteen times since the seventies. It's a real yawn the left are trying to make a big deal of, when they had every opportunity to avoid it.

Five Republicans were among the senators who voted Friday night against a House-passed plan. The measure gained 50 votes to proceed to 49 against, but 60 were needed to break a Democratic filibuster. One of those senators, Republican Rand Paul of Kentucky, said he is opposed to short-term fiscal bills and called the blame game "ridiculous on both sides."

"It's gamesmanship and it's partisanship," Paul said.

Paul said the answer to solving the brinksmanship is to guarantee Democrats in writing that they'll get their debate on immigration issues.

Durbin said bipartisan conversations are taking place and lawmakers from both sides are "in good faith trying to find common ground and put this behind us."

"But at the end of the day the president has to step up and lead in this situation," Durbin said.

Your government at work.  Your president.... not so much....

Remember what our president said about Obama and the shutdown under him?  Oh... karma is soooo yummy!   :)

Yep - at least Obama owned up to it:

You think our president will?
Nope.
