Title: Deficits and debt...
Post by Serowbot on 02/06/18 at 09:08:59

Trade deficits are up 12% this year...
Tax cuts will add 1.4 trillion to the debt...

I remember when these things mattered...
Not so much to me,... but to the Right...

The average American will see a temporary $903 annum from these expiring tax reductions... The average 1%er will see $175,000.
Corporate tax cuts are permanent, individuals will expire.

I know you'll say trickle down will boost the economy and deficits will actually go down. ... but this has been tried before.
It don't happen.
Repeating the same thing and expecting a different result is insanity.
Trickle down just gets us trickled on.

We know Trump has a trickle fetish...
Enjoy your bath...

Copy and paste much?

Do you think on your own at all?

Some people believe the world is still flat.

Do you remember Obama running against the extension of the debt ceiling?
Then in office, oh goodness, all he said was forgotten by him and robots like you?

Don’t you understand government is as screwed up as it is because folks get played and go march out the same BS time and time again?

You want change, then example it, or just keep doing the same thing over and over again, it’s on you and everyone else with their selective outrage and hypocrisy.

C'mon Bot - look on the bright side!  These moves will usher in a new era of double digit interest rates and huge inflation!

I find it kinda funny, sad, and strange, that people willingly get up on the merry-go-round, then complain it never makes progress, as they just continue to spin in circles....

Yeah, yeah, it’s the ride operators fault.

I wonder how much crap got imported for that big Christmas season.
The continual parroting of the increase in debt the tax code change will create is like continuing to believe Hillary is gonna win.
Funny post Ray,,

it's up your side to prove the CBO and most economists wrong..   yet you mock us...   Maybe you're right, but as of now... you're behind the eight ball, but you've been right before when experts said you were wrong, but how often do you really think that'll happen? oh, wait, that's right, I forgot, YOU KNOW BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE.  so again, I ask, why are you wasting your time here with use ignorant pleebs.

I guess the difference between the question I asked and the statement you seem to think I made is lost on you.
I DON'T KNOW if they used the jump in imports, during this pretty dang good Christmas, but you can believe imadikk.

questions end in question marks...  these things "?"   and I was replying to the "The continual parroting of the increase in debt the tax code change will create is like continuing to believe Hillary is gonna win."  part of your statement.

Quit splitting hairs

Not sure if you guys are just looking for any straw to grasp, and hopefully bolster your beliefs/argument, or do you really know the reality of what you post about?

I will give you my own "first-hand" experience with the issue.

Boeing has used the "world" market to buy, build, and extend opportunity of wealth/capitalism, through their outreach.

Complaints are plenty, our local union being one dissenting voice of many, about this practice.
Look at Boeing's stock, and its backlog, and the highest payout ever to employees, this year.
Seems they know of what they are doing.

Boeing use to be a "family tradition".
Your Dad worked there, chances are, so would you.
That was a great foundation to build a legacy of a wonderful historical product.
Think of a jetliner, you think of Boeing.

However, those very jets that make the world "smaller" are changing its composition as well.
The market is globally, and its never going back to regional, never.

You either embrace this as a fact, adjust, learn, benefit, or get out of the game.

You guys can argue over historical data that really is of no use in interpreting today's market strategies.

You'd be better served trying to fill this need by arguing over Ginger, or Maryann  ;D

Raydawg I agree with you regarding the:

"You guys can argue over historical data that really is of no use in interpreting today's market strategies."

People don't believe me (until I show them the physical reports) that it costs me less to ship supplies in a container by ship from Boston to Sand Diego than it does to go from Boston to New York by truck.  The logistics and market strategies are completely different now, change happens incredibly fast and past data - in some cases - means essentially nothing.

Similar to studying WW II or even Gulf War tactics to prepare for our next strategic implementation against an opposing force.

I often share this possibility with co-workers.

I worked on the 787 from the beginning......

A huge undertaking by Boeing, and a great drain on its money, as it had years of delay, etc....
However, the finish product has exceeded everyone's predictions.

It has opened up new routes, etc, that DID NOT EXIST, prior to its release into operation.

Read, new sources of revenue of those who know how to take advantage of this opportunity.

I kid you not, someone soon will put together a program, knowing all the data it needs to know about flight schedules, etc.
With this data, they will be able to see how to move product, very quickly, from two points on this planet.

The 787 has a giant B deck (under the main cabin).
It is all categorized, meaning every square inch of it is accounted for.
You have a package on board that plane, the expediter has the ability to tell you EXACTLY where it sits, a real needle in the haystack.....
Given the program software.

So, I want a pizza from a special little deli, in Venice, I ordered from on my honeymoon.....
Its my anniversary tomorrow, and I thought I would surprise my wife.
This plane has the capacity to get it to me still warm, fresh from its oven, it just takes a person with savvy programming, etc, knowledge, to fit the pieces together.

We are talking about a whole new pizza delivery industry  ;D

You get my drift?
