I feel deeply in my being, that Michele Obama was privy, and sick, about the Clinton political machine...... That she counseled Barrack, but in a weird sense, they knew they too were ensnared. The only way out, Hillary had to win. I just hope MY PARTY will rise above this ugly scar, much like the repubs had to get past Nixon. The Queen of Gotcha, and her face shall never be seen as viable again. I hope those who can, rehabilitate by seeing their duplicity and change, and become a healthy source of information upon which we can learn how power corrupts. Those who pride and ego, hate, and fear, won't let them, bury them with the queen, as deserving. We, as a country, can not afford a lopsided 2018 election of one party rule, we have just witnessed the effects of a tyrannical coup, lets not chance another.... I plead with my party, move forward, bring ideas, hope, not scorn or bitterness, or revenge. |

I had insurance with BCBS, I could walk in any office and get treated like I mattered. It was about thirty bucks a month. Then came the HMOs. And with that An entire new job for thousands of people, and a college class, We CREATED a parasitic career field and attached it to the health care industry. Gee, why Did costs go up? I could go on, too. Your concept of Common sense gun laws Just might not be as sensible as I would want. Let's arm people to defend themselves. The left have been driving the societal change for decades. I'm ready for you guys to sit down and watch how adults do it. |

Rather than having people say the government is denying medical care to Grandma (a Republican war cry for a decade), of having companies face bankruptcy (corporate America shirks it duty was the Democratic war cry) they decided to woo people with the option of lower cost programs with some limits on access etc. The whole layer of people who code encounters, and then another layer of people wo decode the same..well they are to some degree replacing low level insurance company staff who did similar jobs before the HMO's. I have mentioned that since the 60's, the doctor office staff of 1 receptionist, 1 nurse and 1 doctor for primary care has disappeared. But again, we demand so much more. The shift has started where primary care doc's monitor and help guide a patient through an ever more complex medical system, and the recent advent of Urgent care centers for triage unless an emergency room (so much more expensive) is obviously needed. But if you have pain in the chest it now costs thousands for xrays and ekg.s (as well as blood tests) to rule out heart attack and give you some Gavicon for your heartburn. |

The reality was, and I suspect still is, that almost 2/3 or the medical cost the average person incurs is during the last week or month of their lives when we, as a society, demanded extreme and excessive care of our loved ones who would die soon anyway. No one was willing to simply say, gee its time. The percentage of people who work primarily on health care: EMT/firemen, doctors, RN'sNurses, NP.s war staff, LPNs, receptionist, medical coders and billers, office managers, practice managers, and the support staff from all the medical device manufactrues, and the pharma business (oops, I could go on but dinner calls) but yu get my point I suspect. |
