But Mr JoG, you need to analyse a bit further. You are surrounded by evidence of the opposite. What makes lying easy is when there are no consequences, the more donald lies the more it becomes normal, and that allows all his cronies off the hook. Anyone can just say after a false denial 'not to my knowledge'.

Look we have Foghorn Leghorn denying he spoke to Russians then denying what it was about, and Kushner continually amending his lies. Lying to the FBI is illegal but who give a darn.

Muller gives a darn, that's what he's showing, had already shown. He will prosecute, that's why Papadopulous folded. And that's why all the White House staff are lawyering up. And this is why donald's lawyers don't want him to open his mouth under oath.

So back to Manafort, to suggest that he's willing to lie to protect himself, is absurd, and Muller knows the only thing he has going for him is absolute credibility, notice that nothing is leaking from his investigation. Trump talked the talk when he warned about the red line, but he's kept his gobby mouth wired shut with Muller.

Muller is showing that if you lie to him you *will* pay for it.
