Title: OEM part number for fork/steering lock?
Post by Mike Conigliaro on 03/25/18 at 10:20:39

I'm hoping someone can help me find the OEM part number for the fork/steering lock. I bought a Savage a couple years ago and did the CS-1 conversion on it, but unfortunately, the original owner lost the keys to the steering wheel lock. When I called around about getting new keys made, I was advised to just drill the old lock out of the frame and replace it (new keys will presumably come with the new lock). Since I've never done this before, I didn't want to attempt it until I was able to source a new lock.

I've been searching on eBay and Bike Bandit, but I haven't been able to find a replacement or a part number yet. Does anyone know where I might find one?

You need to look on the parts list for an online dealer.

It is on the page for the STEERING STEM - item 21 on the diagram.

Do you want a genuine Suzuki part or could you live with a cheaper universal lock that fits the original socket? I’m perfectly satisfied with mine, was easy to drill the old lock out and put the new one in.

Awesome, thanks guys! I don't know why I couldn't find it myself.
