Title: Unemployment
Post by justin_o_guy2 on 04/23/18 at 09:10:30

Note
This is what I have been trying to explain.
Labor IS a commodity.
When you have more
Labor
Available,
The
Price goes Down.
This is Why the open borders policy is bad for wage earners.
A balance is necessary. Enough laborers available to not impede growth of industry, not so much that industry can abuse labor.

Such a tight job market means businesses are competing for workers, rather than workers competing for scarce jobs. That has some economists combing through data in search of evidence of rising wages, which have been largely stagnant since the recession.

Yes, those whose benefits have stopped aren't counted, which should not be how it's done, but, to refuse to admit that to get to record lows, jobs must be increasing. The number of food stamp users is dropping.

yes, this has been happening for the last 4 years

THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE ON FOOD STAMPS IS FALLING. HERE’S WHY

http://www.newsweek.com/people-food-stamps-snap-decline-participation-640500

basically from this article my takeaway is that yes the economy is getting better but also states are re-instating work requirements to receive SNAP benefits.

This all started under Obama...

Actually, after looking at your point, I'm not sure it's a good thing.
Demanding the unemployed to stop being unemployed isn't exactly nice.
And not everyone can afford to have children watched while they participate in training programs.
Just as the
Promise program is a mistake, because it's doing STUPID to change statistics and Claim Beneficial progress, stripping the truly needy of benefits and calling it The Result of a booming economy is Bullshit.

I'm not 100% sure if that's sarcastic or not.

I get the point, the economy is better, so less people are on food stamps, but also, the food stamp program has been changed to make it harder for people to get on food stamps, so how honest are the numbers?? idk.

Actually helping the needy is actually difficult and expensive and results may vary so why bother doing anything right?

I stopped THERE.

WTF IS wrong with you that you could believe I could be so callous?
I CRITICIZE Trump.
I'm so pissed right now I could spit nails.

Sorry man,

it's hard to tell tone online a lot of the time. and the conservative position tends to be more callous towards the poor (wellfare queens, pulling yourself up by your bootstraps, etc....)

I've been where you are now, some idiot online assuming something I said wasn't how I meant it and then them assigning the worst of the worst characteristics about the opposing side to me.

Sorry I mis-read you on this post.

No, not me. When I'm pissed, I spit them hard enough to start them, and I set them with the hammer.
