Title: Re: Is The NRA Afraid Of Guns? Post by verslagen1 on 05/01/18 at 12:37:33 NRA allows guns at the conference. Secret Service doesn't allow guns with Pence. So who's afraid? |

I guess the secret service and mike pence are. How very brave of them. ;D But seriously, this just goes to show that exceptions are NOT the rule. The hard-line conservatives with their "from my cold dead hands" mentality is flawed. Exceptions have to be made. This is a perfect example. Just as common sense gun laws aren't bans on all guns. They're exceptions to the rule. But I wonder if those hard-liners I mention are OK with this? If so, how is this any different than, say, a daycare center (or any other place) that bans guns? For the record, I think this is a smart move on the Secret Service's part. Like I said - it's common sense. |

Title: Re: Is The NRA Afraid Of Guns? Post by justin_o_guy2 on 05/01/18 at 13:05:08 OHH, I get it,, Now we're gonna pretend that keeping a political figure safe by restricting guns for the audience is hypocritical, because protecting the kids with armed staff is the same as allowing the public with guns near a potential assassination target. AAAND Nuance.. Geniuses |
