[/img]Thank god I pulled the side cover off to fix a oil leak and decided to change the filter as well... the tensioner was at its last few clicks. Time for a new chain this winter...

You got lucky. If it had come apart it could have been pretty bad. :)

Yeah funny thing is I had talked a little with verslagen about his pieces he does. I can only assume the chain is original and I'm just a bit over 14k on the bike.  Thanks to this forum I had a pretty good idea what I was looking at and how to get by. So thank you all and vers. I'll be buying one of your modded tensioners this winter.
