I changed my oil today but I cant see it through the oil viewing window. I put 1 3/4 quarts of oil in and I still cant even see any in the viewing window. Any ideas??

Is it all black or do you see the silver back plate?

prop the bike level, oil mysteriously appears, you can't see it on the sidestand. 8-)

1 3/4 qts?
oil change without filter- 1.9 qts
oil change with new filter-2.5 qts

What Batman said, but I'll add that with a filter change you'll also need to run the bike for 20 seconds to settle the oil for an accurate check. When the bike had been standing for a long time, the correct oil level is somewhere between the maximum mark and the very tip top of the sight glass.
